Coming along nicely. I have to say I'm impressed with the door and hardware swap. Not that it's impossible, I've done similar door swaps myself although decades ago. I'm impressed because as I remember it there was a WHOLE lot more cussing when I did it.

Haha, thanks Harold... There was actually plenty of cursing, I just took the liberty of editing that out :)

No contortionist antics? No bleeding? Less rattling. Less wind noise. What an awesome win on that job.
@ZHFabrications6 жыл бұрын
:) Thanks Jim... Unfortunately I did this about a year ago, so now I'm going to have to scuff it re-prime it then paint it again.

Looking great. I remember my dad buying a new 1965 Chevy fleet side custom cab. Chrome everywhere. First year I think the spare was mounted underneath the bed. Even the spare had a medal wrap that was chrome plated.

Thank you! That's interesting, I'll have to look that up.

Sweet job Zac. I have to say as a 25+ year’s as a automotive technician specializing in drivability and automotive instructor I give you an A+ nicely done just my two cents. Oh I use to use spray silicone on the weather stripping to help the windows go a little easier and for a real truck ( meaning yours real steel) is a little die-electric grease because you can clean it up when your done. Hey Zac take care my friend

Love that you are working on this, I obtained a 68 this winter that I am trying decide if I need to do a frame off or not. I'll have to build a place to work in the back yard if I go that route.
@ZHFabrications6 жыл бұрын
Thanks.... Yeah, that's sort of why I'm not doing a frame off... I figure some day when I have a nice shop it should go a lot easier since I'll have already done a good amount of the work.

Manoeuvring those parts in and out looks like the type of job you do when you're very calm, otherwise stuff's getting thrown
@ZHFabrications6 жыл бұрын
You are correct sir... I try to edit those parts out :)
@JesseHires6 жыл бұрын
I've done that on a number of older vehicles. Managed to draw blood every time on the sharp inside edges of the door. :-)

Hah, yes pretty sure that's a right of passage :)

Your taste in projects is one of the best out there. Thank you so much for the inspiration! What do you recommend for editing videos?
@ZHFabrications6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chad! Right now I'm just using iMovie. It's pretty user friendly. I'm thinking about upgrading to Final Cut some day though.

Great video. Does Johnny Law let you drive that thing around with that cracked windshield?
@ZHFabrications6 жыл бұрын
Yup. Fortunately I pretty much only drive to pick up metal and wood, which is all within 2 miles

Thumbs Up #464 I am, Wednesday 23 January 2019! If you do not mind my asking, what engine and transmission do you have? Mine is a 235 c.i. mounted to a 2-speed Hydromatic.
