My response to christofer128: The person has a broken leg, but is not a "fresh" fracture. The doctor has ordered "partial weight-bearing" (not "non weight-bearing" that the patient with the walker needed) so this patient DOES need to put weight on that sore leg. Thanks for your interest--I hope this clears up the weight-bearing issue. BJ Simmons

she shouldn't step on the right leg if is broken....the way you show is like you walk on the stairs without any injury The walker in the other video was better method by pushing and jumping

whats the purpose of having the crutches if the broken leg can take a step.. i dont get it.. viewers in this video assumes that the person really uses the 3 point gait and not just an accessory to the real thing.. and also, in our school, we had a return demo about this and i think that it is more comprehensive than this video.. sorry but this is all wrong

Not appropriate or safe... Why wouldn't you have the patient use the siderail if it is there? The way you are showing can contribute to significant injuries for both patient and provider. Ask any Physical therapist.. they would never teach this way. RN, MSN, MPT
