I was in this situation and I loved him dearly. After 4 years I finally left and yes it was very mentally abusive. I had to gather the strength to leave and to remind myself my worth. I had to let him go! And I felt soooo good after leaving! I felt free!

I was in your situation after four years too. We broke up and I too felt free. But my story went a different direction. He hoovered me. I fell for it. It’s been 17 years now and I’ve lost track of the number of breakups and Hoovers. We’re presently broken up… as usual I asked a question that triggered him and he went silent. For days. It will turn into weeks then he’ll try to Hoover me. I’m trying so hard to be strong. Btw ironically my question was “how’s counselling going?”. Going to counselling was on the table for getting back together. He went to three sessions, told her things were good now because he’d got me back. Then he quit. Three months ago. 🤦‍♀️

We where seeing eachother for 6months, he decided not to contact me for a month. We had a great relationship no issues! He then had the nerve to contact me and wants to see me. I knew he chose someone else. When it didnt work out i was the fall back girl. Damaged was done!! Bye!! He doesn't deserve my time and attention! Im happy to give it to someone who values and appreciates me as a human being. Happy on my own. 💔 over games and drama.

Glad to hear it reaffirmed that once breadcrumbing starts, it rarely turns around. Wish I had started letting go much earlier. Guess I'm still lucky to have finally managed to end (sort of) my disaster after 3 months. Unfortunately, I will still have to see him around. Workplace dating sucks if it doesn't work out.

This happened with an old college guy friend I reconnected with. We’ve been rebuilding our friendship for almost a couple years and it’s been nice. He’s been supportive of me thru hard times and the death of a loved one, so I sent him a Christmas card wishing him happy holidays and thanking him for his support. And it seems to have freaked him out, he acted really weird and uncomfortable with it. I always give Christmas cards to everyone, didn’t think it was a big deal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I realize it’s his issue though. So I’m disengaging, reclaiming my boundaries and my power and focusing on myself for sure. Totally a ‘spiritual awakening’ . ❤

When he came back my thought was, okay, maybe he wants something serious now... 'cause he knew my boundaries, etc. But yet he didnt want something serious. The thing is, I heard from other friends and my sister that they also walked away and then the guy came back, then he wanted something serious. So thats what I thought he wanted. I was wrong. The thing is, how do you know the guy is serious. Males can sometimes lie just to get your attention, etc...They are also good in deceiving and giving you exactly what they think you want to see.

Love that I know what I want and what I’m available for, and if he can’t meet that, it’s ok, but I don’t him wasting my time with bread-crumbing me to keep me dangling as an option , so I then choose to let him go fully if he’s not offering what I want. ❤

I have been seeing a guy for 8 months. He is quite a bit younger than myself. He has backed off because he has been rushing me about moving in together. He says my priorities aren't in line since he has not been involved with my children. I have a career of 15 years and since Ive known him he has quit 2 jobs. I am not a golddigger by any means. Although I don't want to have to support a man. For the most part we get along and have chemistry i don't know how to handle this.

Great video, this happened to me, I met someone through a mutual friend, allowed him to pursue me, which he did, he called me girlfriend, when I was going out of town he wanted to be the one to take me to the airport etc., after a few months I realized our physical time spending together was becoming every other week - even though we talked on the phone frequently,. We had so much in common, similar values, I would say I was falling in love with him… But the one thing that bothered me was the “crumbs of his time “after five months I let him know I felt like I was on the back burner and we only got together when he wanted to get together but if I suggested hey maybe we can do this or do that it was let me get back to you on that. So over the next couple weeks I almost started backpedaling because I did miss him, and he said you’re not gonna be happy with the amount of time I can give you, and I let that resonate with me and I finally moved on, my heart was broken but I moved on. Still haven’t found anyone yet, but I’d rather wait for the person right for me, than to be treated like an afterthought.
