Such a useful and powerful video, Strange that this was released 5 days before my birthday which was also the day I began trading a live account, My journey since that point has been really close to your own first couple of years (Lazy analysis, Felling left out if i don't have a trade open ect...) This makes me really wish i had seen this video back in March, Saying that though who knows if i would had listened as I find i learn more from my own mistakes than that of others. either way great video so thank you and glad i found your channel.

I just recently came from holiday as well. I decided not to do any trading while on it. Unfortunately I had too much time on my hands and ipad. I just couldn't resist to do a bit "hobby" trading. I lost 30% of my account in few days. Next time no ipad for me 😊

I used to try to make money on oil speculation and random FX pairs and I turned £3500 into £1500 in 2 months. Now I use spread bet to buy dips in stocks but leave the trade on for several days with to reach a target and I make money less worry. I just make sure I have enough money to cover if the market dips further.

An analogy would be it's like learning to fly; being lazy about your flight controls, changing from one system of controls to another, gambling that you have the controls right......ain't gonna help when you are at twenty thousand feet.

I am spread betting and looking for a software (free or paid) to link to my SB company and auto export my trades so I can review and track my performance. Does anyone know of any? most seem to be for DMA brokers only and not spread betting companies. I am aware of doing excel but that takes some time importing data when I make around 30 trades per day. Thank you

Chris. Please answer.. :) IG spreads seem high for spread betting stocks? I spread bet companies around the £3 a share mark and the spread is usually a few points either side. Anyway to avoid this? I have a Mac also. what's best charting software? Currently using protools

Hi, how stressful do you find spreadbetting on a daily basis? Do you have a full time job outside of spreadbetting?
@chrischillingworth
@chrischillingworth 6 жыл бұрын
Not stressful at all now I have proper risk management in place. If its stressful its often because you are trading above your own personal risk tolerance. I run 3 businesses and have some property. All contributes to my income. I don't have a 9-5 if that's what you mean.

Great video Chris - Pychology like you've mentioned in depth before, in my eyes is the HOLY GRAIL to trading. Master thyself first, if you want to master the markets!!
@chrischillingworth
@chrischillingworth 6 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. This is why trading is so hard for most to grasp. Always searching for the best system or the best indicator to use or the best markets to trade. Those people always lose until they eventually realise, if ever, that it's about them and their decision making in the moment. Thanks for watching Phil.
