I'm a pilot and I use these belts for the reasons you mentioned while flying. I got a couple of the canvas casual belts as well for summer fun. I would not use these belts for a dressy occasion or with a suit though. Because of the way the system works the belt buckle area looks bulky and too casual. I would not compare the leathers from Allen Edmond's to the Anson. The Anson leathers are cheap looking.

I was comparing the price of Anson belts with those by Joseph A. Banks & Men's Wearhouse. I found that prices are about the same or less however Anson has a bigger variety of buckles & colors to choose from.

Track system belts have gotten very popular, and they don’t bend around the buckle as much, making them last longer. I like Anson since I’ve met them a while ago. The variety is nice as well. Thanks for watching.

Tom, I have an old ratchet belt. The buckle weighed a ton compared to my regular belt buckles. How are the current a son buckles in terms of weight? Thank you.

Yes. On their website, it says they use premium full grain leather. I’ve had some of them for over 5 years, and haven’t experienced any cracking at all.

Sorry Tom but for my hard earned money kore makes the best ratchet belts for men, hands down. Esp if you carry a firearm.
