I am Episcopal and Bible believing. I regularly fight the good fight and get beat down by the Pastor (and congregation). I get made fun of for believing in basics: Mary is a Virgin, the transfiguration of Christ, ect. When even the Priest is saying things like: You don’t really believe in that? What chance do I have? Last week they were stating that the SBC church down the road is "hateful" because they don't have female pastors. I argued that a church having different policies does not make a church hateful. I got yelled at. I have tried to form coherent arguments based on the Bible and Church Fathers. It is futile and rebutted with: I feel like God is ok with….. The Protestant Reformation is based on Sola Scriptura and they are throwing out the Bible for feelings. It is madness. The Father at my church is great in other ways. He has helped me learn how to deal with grief. But, in regard to spiritual matters, I have realized he does not believe in the Nicene Creen when he recites it on Sunday Morning. The lack of reverence and fear of God shows up in lots of little ways. I am starting RCIA classes Tuesday. The Episcopal Denomination is not a place for me to grow in. I am sad about this. The Episcopal Church was the faith home of my Grandmother and I thought it would be mine too. But, here I find myself.

I wish you luck. Are you determined to attend an actual church? If you can't find a better place than the one you mentioned, I'd think you'd be better off finding a private chapel to visit weekly for prayer and contemplation, then simply read Scripture at home. The Catholic Church has held to traditional teachings-officially-but I've heard that at the local level, it's often as bad as the situation you described. The difficulty you face, ultimately, is that those who oppose you know, in their heart of hearts, that they are cowards. The presence of a person of your caliber is a rebuke to them, and they know this. This modern liberalism is rather like a religion, unto itself...When present, they do not tolerate dissent.

@@tgriffin3059 There is a reverent Bible believing Catholic church that I like about forty minutes from my house. I am likely going to be attending there. I need a place to receive the Eucharist every week. I cannot give myself the Eucharist.

I'm so sorry to hear about your church. Yes, many churches have completely abandoned the faith. I would encourage you to check out the PCA church or a CREC church if there is any in the area. The CREC has a great liturgy and they really take their faith seriously. The PCA is also a solid church but with less liturgy. Keep praying for the lost and deceived.

Exactly! Things go much better on the God Standard. Our country has forgotten that and now many people are suffering and it will get worse if we do not repent. We went right by stupid to insane. The Supreme Court Justice cannot define what a woman is and she is one. We are done if that is the case, because Law depends on the right definitions!

Reason 4 = Money. Churches with weak leadership and declining funds, will go 'big tent' with the belief that by making the demands less, more will join. Yet the fact is this always has the opposite effect and money declines at an even faster rate.

@@Massillontigerfan sorry for the delay. It was referred to as the "battle for the Bible". The conservative side said that the Bible was the inspired, inerrant, Word of God. The other side held that some things were fiction and only trying to teach moral lessons- the flood, creation, parting of the Red Sea. Fortunately, they left and eventually became the ELCA

I think that 2 John verses 9-11 applies on the bigger - church - scale as well as on the individual person scale. If you encounter a church that gives a different teaching, keep right away from it, unless you are sure that the Lord wants you involved with His putting it right - pray like mad for clarity on what God wants you to do. But never be tempted to compromise on what God wants for you and for the church.

Praise the Lord my church is not woke! The great falling away from Christ is happening now within some of these churches! They have turned away from God and His word! We had Christians from the Southern Baptist Convention at our church two weeks ago and they were not happy about what was going on within the Methodist churches. We need to pray for these people that they will come back to the Lord!

Truth is Love. God's Word is Truth. True Love is to care for the Eternal Souls of people, by telling them the Truth. People cannot Confess their sins until they acknowledge what their sin is. Confession leads to Repentance and that to Deliverance. We do no good, but rather cause harm, by not telling the Truth. The problem with the Alphabet crowd is that for the most part they will not acknowledge their sins, but instead try to modify what the bible clearly and consistently says about our genders and sexual practice. If we are to be Christians we cannot disagree with what God says in His Word, that goes for all of us. In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus makes this clear.

So true! There is no sugar-coating this if we really love people. They must be told of their sin - even if their feelings are hurt. Not because we hate them but because love them and want them to be saved. Keep praying for the lost and deceived.

The reason this is all happening is because God prophesied in the Bible that these things would occur. If these things did not happen as God said they would then the Bible would be wrong. And we can't have that

Not my church. This is one which died and is now just a historical building. Real compassion is warning people that they are the path to hell if they don't repent and believe the gospel. Praying that you find that truth before it's too late.

Yes, the KJV Bible is the only Bible that can be traced back to the original manuscripts the masarah. There it is coded and can not be altered or changed by man. If it is, it is easily noticed.

One main reason: DISPENSATIONALISM. It teaches retreat and defeatism. It teaches that the church is doomed to fail. It teaches that Jesus will return any second.

We truly love your neighbor when we warn them of the coming judgment. Unless you repent and believe the gospel, you have no hope. Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments. While we are to love our neighbor, that is not the greatest commandment. The first is to love God. Praying for you that you repent and believe the gospel.

Do I love my neighbor by lying to him or her? By encouraging them to pursue a life of sin? What takes greater love, and for that matter greater courage, to speak truth to your neighbor and the world or cower in silence for fear of the world’s threats and ostracism. Jesus told us being a follower of his was going to be hard. Today we are finding out how true that is! Woke or Stay Woke, was a term stolen from the Black community by the far left and is used to mean things we , as Black people, would never dream of condoning. So you - Stay Woke- in Christ!

How can you continue in the knowing them quality of them? You need to have a change of mind. That's what Paul means by stop sinning. Stop being religious.
