Good morning. Happy Thanksgiving! I know you won't celebrate it on your vlog till next week, but I know today's the day. I grew up as a child of the 60s and 70s; jello was a big thing. I still remember the first poke cake that we had; it was amazing. I will tell you that one of the things I'm thankful for every day or at least 6 days a week is you, and thank you for all your encouragement. I hope that y'all have a terrific Thursday and I will see you tomorrow

I say that elephant saying all the time when someone seems overwhelmed. It helps me put things in perspective, myself. I don't think I've ever seen jello pinwheels before, but definitely have eaten poke cake! We make cranberry jellies with raspberry jello ... so yummy! I forgot to say earlier that Ruby seems just so happy ... her tail NEVER stops wagging, if she's up! Wonderful! Thank you for sharing, and have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Amy I experimented a few years ago with making a jello cake. I made the cake in a bundt pan because like you I didn't have round cake pans. After making sure pan was very well greased and cake had cooled a few minutes, I poked holes and poured the jello (2boxes) into cake before I took it out of pan. I let the cake with jello sit in bundt pan in fridge for 1-1/2 hours (until I saw NO liquid on top of pan. When I put serving plate on top and flipped it, cake came out beautifully. That was the best jello cake. I served it with cool whip I used 16 oz and covered whole cake and topped that with strawberries. Yummy.

Maxine is taking a nap . We make poke cake all summer with strawberry 🍓 jello so good 🎉always do mine in nine by thirteen pan what a great idea for the leftover meat ! You will love wainscoting,it cleans 🧽 up easy and doesn’t show marks like other stuff . I have it in my kitchen and two bathrooms on the bottom half of the walls.🤗🌹🦃🌹🤗

I love poke cake but haven’t made it in a long time. One of the staple sides my mother made for holidays and picnics was lime jello, crushed pineapple and shredded carrots. Have a great Thanksgiving next week. Hugs💕

I am taking a break on Thanksgiving from cooking. Sweet Jello recipes. I could never get my Jello out of the mold. Love the popcorn ball idea. Much easier then the alternative way. I never made them again after trying the old way without the Kello. Happy Thanksgiving to the Maryon family!

Growing up we made jello poke cake, we always made it in a 13 x 9 pan. It was the best birthday cake or anytime cake. Have you tried pudding poke cake. Omg its amazing. The holes had to be bigger. Using the handle end of a wooden spoon thats the right size hole. For the jello we used a smaller hole size . Bith were awesome cakes. I might surprise my son for his birthday around New years. He has never had either. Thank you for the retro recipes especially jello poke cake.

I had cans of soup in my pantry that we just were not eating, so for lunch I opened 4 cans up, heated it thru and made toasted cheese. Not sure why I bought the soup, it's not our favorite so we had quite a bit leftover. So, I made a chicken noodle casserole for supper and threw in the leftover soup. It was delicious!! Jello ( I believe it is the same as ours jelly ) a staple as a child in the 70s at birthday party's the mum's gave us jelly and ice-cream.
