I wanted to help you with the crepes ... lol. I grew up with Swedish pancakes (aka crepes) made by Mom. I think German is pretty much the same, but they top it with lemon vs lingonberries. I have Mom's recipe and we all make them for the holidays, as adults. It's a labor of love, but not complicated. For ours, you don't flip them as they are so thin ... once the one side is done, the other side has cooked (just not browned) so we just roll them up and put them on a plate and cover to keep them warm (or covered in the oven). No need to use wax paper. When we put some on our plate, we top them with lingonberry jelly & powdered sugar. A little goes a long way because they are mostly egg and fill you up. Love watching you do all the things! GBU 💗

Savory crepes with ham and cheese (or non-dairy) or chicken and spinach are really good, too. Your local WalMart should carry Old Bay Seasoning. It's either in a round shaker style bottle or a rectangular canister similar to a black pepper container. My store doesn't carry it at eye level, it's usually on a lower shelf. Also, sometimes they stock it near the seafood section.

Watch the kiddos who can't do dairy with eggs. It may not be stomach issues that have but watch them for joint/muscle soreness, fatigue, headaches. If any of them have that after eggs try eliminating them for a couple weeks and see if that goes away. Eggs and diary go hand and hand with intolerance.

@@amymaryon we found an egg substitute at our local Kroger if it comes down to it! It's vegan and actually tastes just like eggs. I can't remember the name of it, but it's a yellow bottle with a black label. You can also substitute eggs in baking with unsweetened applesauce!

Maybe if you would use like a 1/4 cup measuring cup to dip up your crepe batter you could keep them more uniform easier. Or an 1/8 cup, whatever makes the right thickness.

Love your videos Amy! I always talk about you and the things you do as if you were my personal friend. My friend Amy does this or that. I’ve made lots of crepes and found that letting the batter rest at least 30 minutes makes them stronger. I never use wax paper and they never stick together. I also use Pam spray.

Good morning. It does feel great on Fridays, I'm sure, to have food planned for the weekend and you don't have to worry about it. I'm like you I don't like to roll things. I don't mind doing one pan of cookies, but when I get to more than that, then that's it, I'm done. So now, I make chocolate chip cookie bars and the same thing with the peanut butter balls, I do peanut butter bars. I use parchment paper on everything so on your stainless steel bowl that's what I would use. I'm hoping that the aluminum foil worked great for you. You have a fantastic Friday and I will see you tomorrow

Tips on the crepes- let your pain get VERY HOT, if you drop some water in your oil it should pop! My first still always flops, but then usually good from there 😂 A little brown gives it good flavor 😄 But yes I use oil, butter burns really quick Once I do a couple and my pan is hot Through and through I turn my heat down Edit, I roll them as I finish them like enchiladas and just put them in a 9X13 pan They don’t stick but don’t have to use the paper 😊

I had never seen that brand till I watched your channel and I was going to try it, but I read all ingredients in everything (because of dairy and gluten allergy in our home), and that how I know that bouillon has dairy. Bur maybe this small amount of dairy will not affect them.
