THANKS so much for sharing this! Wherever I went in my life, I always became the target of a resident narcicist. Could not figure out why. After watching many of these videos, and now this one, I know now the why! I am totally harassed by a full out covert narcicist at work who always targets me. She is in the full on rage part of trying to destroy me. EXAMPLE: In two weeks she sent me app. 40 emails. Tries to gaslight me in the office. Etc. It got so bad. I took of work today to escape her harassing me. BUT, to protect myself, I will have to file an official complaint.

Because of my childhood situation my sister used my fear of abandonment against me. Now don't fear abandonment anymore. I choose to walk away and with my safety circle I have gotten the strength to do so.

Mine went gray rock waited a few then bam gaslighting started. I simply said it takes 2 and i am not 1 of the 2 find someone else to victimize or go play in the corner all by yourself. Pissed them off and shut them down as soon as I walked away..

My manager is the narcissistic relationship I'm excising. No Contact for me, currently, looks like me staying focused on my days tasks, and defensive calendaring, and just mentally blocking out his whimsical, granular messages seeking supply. Gray Rocking has worked really well! The trick is to be mindful of what Gray Rocking feels like internally to myself. I was first hyper-vigilant on how it was changing the narc's behavior, and was feeling very armored, but not healthy... and that's where your comments about DOING YOUR OWN WORK comes in incredibly useful. Part of what pulled me into this narcissistic abuse was my own people-pleasing crutch. I love helping, but encountering narcissism in authority was dragging up old childhood trauma. I'm speaking with an HR Leadership Coach about survival and exit strategies, and I'm on a waiting list for a therapist through my insurance.

I sometimes take a different approach because I enjoy messing with them and watching them squirm… When they say anything, telll them: a friend of mine says you’re wrong. Follow up to their typical narc reaction with: yeah, a friend of mine said that’s exactly how you would act/say.

Yes, I blocked flying monkeys, once I was minimize. Taking care of myself and waiting for the impending discard. I have done the FOO work, EMDR, and therapy. Empathetic supernova is in the works. I am strong and bold. I am on the path. Amazing the free feeling, I am getting so proud of myself.

sometimes you dont want to have no contact, Nadult kids and parents. But I am learning to not care what they think, their opinion does not matter. Learning all I can do is say No, Stop, Got to go. Working on my self esteem and self confidence. I love them but have to distance myself, I know what they are. Yes I got tired of wasting my energy. I am more attracted to healthy people now but honestly sometimes I am around family I have to go somewhere and scream. I dont stay around them as long. Feels good to take power back. Yes, time and disciplline. I hated them having so much power over me and ruminating, now I go distract myself. You are right, it does take work. yes know your value, when I am around them WHATEVER has become my main word. Cant fix them that is for sure.

I started looking for a new job because she will not leave me alone and it's the only way I can go no contact with this person. That’s great, however, what do you do when the Narcissist is your non-biological child. His biological father is a Narcissist. His mother is permanently disabled and he has been abusive to her since he was about 12 years old. I became his father when he was 7. He is now 31 and homeless with no job. Dad (me) just allowed him to put his stuff at my house. BIG MISTAKE! I am expecting a blow up when I tell him he can’t stay with me. He has some $$ but doesn’t own a car anymore (had his mother’s for a year and I just recovered and paid $$$ to have it repaired). He has been at my home for 4 weeks while I have been in the Hospital. His girlfriend is also there. I’m ready to use the proper tools and words to shut him down and push him to take control of his own life.
