Welcome to the 50's club! I was fully menopausal by the time I hit 50. That was 3 years ago. I went on a crusade to figure out what I could do to feel like myself again. Lots of arguing with doctors who wanted to tell me "this is just how it is deal with it". Lots of looking into supplements, diet, exercise. It took a while but I feel like I've finally turned the bus. Wow was it frustrating. We women need to stick together and help a girl out because for most of us we felt like we were all alone. Also I can attest to the collagen. I've been taking it for 3 years and wow does my hair just explode out of my head. The down side is I need to get my hair colored every 3 weeks but hey at least I'm not balding right? Keep doing what you do.

I use a protein power that contains both collustrum and collagen. I also eat very clean (no ultra-processed food). That has helped my skin more than any skin products ever did.

I love hearing about what works for others. Thanks for sharing! You're absolutely right - the food we put in makes a HUGE impact and should always be a priority. I've taken a deep dive into healing my gut over the past year so that has been huge for my skin as well.

I'm happy to hear influencers encourage women to advocate for their own healthcare.. especially concerning our lifelong issues with hormone changes. I am unfortunately from the generation that was scared off hormone replacement therapy and my options are now drastically limited. I encourage every woman to investigate and find a knowledgeable health professional to be your guide as not all doctors are up to date on latest studies and treatments. Wishing you and all a happy and healthy new year! XXOO ❤️

I discovered I was almost fully menopausal at age 38. Unfortunately, I had to figure this out on my own. I asked my doctor to do an FSH level, which came back at 76 (menopausal level). I have had a lot of chronic health issues in my adult life, but this one was by far the most traumatic. My older sister and my mom didn’t enter menopause early, so I was completely blindsided. We all missed what was happening because 1) I had an IUD so irregular or no periods with that is very common and 2) we attributed my hot flashes/sweating to cardiac issues (POTS) etc. I also had zero issues with vaginal dryness, reduced libido, etc.; nothing that would have pointed to something in the gynecological realm. I do think anyone pass the age of 30 with an IUD should be made aware (and screened) for perimenopause so it isn’t missed, since a period that it starts to vary by more than seven days early or late is the first and most reliable sign that people get. When you enter menopause before age 40, they classify it as premature ovarian failure (POF). When you enter menopause before age 45, they classify as early menopause. 1% of women enter menopause before age 40, and I believe it’s around 4% that enter menopause before age 45. This of course isn’t counting the many years before that that women can be going through perimenopause (it’s tough to say exactly but I think mine started around age 32). Even just considering the 1% diagnosed with POF… that isn’t even what we would consider a rare occurrence. That’s literally one out of 100 women who are fully menopausal before age 40. That adds up to millions of women in the world who are experiencing some form of early menopause. There isn’t much info about menopause at a traditional age, let alone menopause that occurs early from surgery, autoimmune issues (which they determined was the cause of mine), genetic issues, etc. Thank you so much for talking about menopause; women have so little information and it is just tragic. Thank you for using your platform for good 😀 Also when I was diagnosed the very first person I thought of that had access accessible menopause information was YOU 😃❤️ So thank you again.

Wow, Karen… I’m so honored you shared so much of your story with me and the community. Thank you. I’m also very sorry it’s been such a tough experience. I hope that though the courage of women like you, sharing your stories and experiences, perhaps we can help others. No more toughing it out, going it alone or accepting things as a new normal. 💗

You’ve mentioned the NeuLash before and I went and bought because of your recommendation (and the company also backs their product). It took almost 3 months for me to see the pay-off. My lashes are GORGEOUS ! They are thick and long. So lovely! Everyone go buy this (and you won’t have to wear mascara unless you want to)!

Thanks for watching! I'm a longtime follower of Tracy Anderson and love doing her workouts 5-6 days/week, plus regular walks with the dog. I'm focussing more on adding protein to my diet as well as eating more whole foods, cut out almost all sugar, dairy, and gluten. Diet and exercise is just so personal and must be individualized. I did share my routine here a number of years ago, but always recommend talking to your doctor as well as working with professionals in the field you are needing assistance in. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2KtkIZ8opeNl7s

Great video with realistic tips. How long do the oneskin products last? Also want to share that I’m so grateful for my doctor ( my family doctor retired and was replaced by a young woman). I was on the pill into my early 50s, checked in with her regularly and together we decided when it would be a good time to go off. She suggested HRT would be there for me, but I wanted to try doing nothing for a bit. When I started with the hot flashes (like 20 a day), I suggested doing something more natural like taking vitamins. She calmly showed me the research that large doses of vitamins caused way more risks than HRT. I know it’s not for everyone, but it’s a conversation to have with your doctor. It let me get on with my life.

AMAZING!! HRT has been so good for me, in helping me feel good and like myself again. So glad you have a great dr who actually listens to you AND knows her stuff. The OneSkin products come in different sizes, 30, 60, and 90 day supplies so you can get the amount you need! It took be 4-6 weeks to see a noticeable difference and I LOVE it.

I’ve noticed with taking collagen chewables my nails are and hair are stronger. You do look amazing…I’m not sure your face fullness is all face products?! I’m 55 and I don’t have wrinkles or dark spots. I kept my face out of the sun over the years, however my neck is starting to age. With endometriosis I can’t take estrogen and have been in full menopause for 10 years, it has been hard.

Last year I had 3 BBL treatments, which made a big impact, and I get botox 2 to 3 times per year, which obviously smooths and lifts. (Make sure you talk to your healthcare provider before trying anything new.) Sun protection is also so important - thanks for sharing that one. So sorry to hear you have been struggling...you are not alone. 💓

Also, Dawn, botox can help smooth the neck lines and create a subtle lifting effect just make sure you go to someone great and you are comfortable with botox, or course.

neuLASH Enhancing Serum contains prostaglandins (isopropyl cloprostenate, a synthetic prostaglandin analog). If you are unaware, eyelash serums with prostaglandin analogs (synthetic as well) can cause the fat around the eyes to shrink, which may result in noticeable changes to the appearance of the eye. This ingredient does not change eye color. I don't want to lose the fat around my eyes, since this causes the sunken-in eyes that people with glaucoma get by taking medicated eye drops that contain prostaglandins. I've tried The Ordinary Lash and Brow serum, which doesn't have this ingredient and it seemed to work; however, I had to stop because I became allergic to this serum. Bummer.
