I help treat high blood pressure in my office every single day. Today I am going to take you three simple exercises you can do at home to help lower your blood pressure.
We are going to cover the research on blood pressure management and exercise and then I am going to demonstrate these easy exercises you can begin today. You don't need any equipment and if you are just starting on an exercise routine - I will show you variations to help get you started. Working as a kidney doctor, I found that my patients were often unaware of just how important diet and lifestyle were and how often they felt unsupported by generic advice to “eat healthy”. The home cook in me hated hearing this, so I set out to find a better way.

yep, i concur - i have super high hypertension (210/135) and these work really, really well - I guess my body is just over excited, needs a lot of calming down. And yes, I am on a course of bp reducing meds - it sits around 140/80 now.

How long does it remain lower after doing it? I also am on medication and still have high blood pressure.

Walking did wonders for me I walk everyday, rain or shine, from 30 minutes to an hour everyday. Thank you for sharing, Dr. Shusterman (Sandy)

Calcium channel blocker or Arbs which better for ckd?some nephrologist say Arbs harmful for kidney some say Arbs better than ccb...can ccb be also used in ckd with same benefit?...as patient we must feel confused n scared at this discrepancy of opinions of docs to a single patients same medical condition ...

You can vary the angle, time, etc. I would suggest slow and steady to begin and work your way to trying different positions.

I would start by trying to do each one and holding it for between 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Start slow and then challenge yourself over time to try different positions like I show in the video.
