Not only that, but if you do make sure there are rules in place. I was in the military and when I left my husband stayed in, so we had no choice, but to do long distance and we had rules in place, but he broke those rules, so we are no longer together, but because he knew he broke the rules there wasn't any bitterness, so we're still friends.

I think this "not daring to ask you partner to try something new" is not just about being comfortable. I find that people I love and care about's oppinion of me means a lot more to me, then people I don't know. I think it's also fear of your partner thinking of you as slightly weird or wrong. Like if they think what you want to try is off, then it's going to hurt a lot more, than if a stranger thinks the same thing. However the reward is also a lot bigger. If they accept it and embrace it, then it'll feel a lot better than if a stanger is accepting and embracing.

Can I say.......great to just be open and talk about these personal issues with your partner........Ive never had an issue with blurting it all out.......it's kind of the way iam..... others arnt like this, and it's ok......some people just can't open up......maybe Matt you can help give us blurters some advice on how to help our quiet partners to put everything on the table? With anything not just sexy stuff........I think by putting everything on the table it's the only true way to move forward positively! Also us blurters must have caring, thankful and appreciative responses, not ones to scare them....which can be human but not respectful, can take balks for someone to open up to us ...

I did what I did, but it's just never enough for him to be persuaded. He didn't even try to talk to me like personally, and there's just no way that a relationship will foster if it's just like that. So, it's better not to continue, unless he gives it a try. I'm sure if he doesn't change his behavior, even after dating other people, he will not found someone who will last long with him, because he thinks it's just all about his looks, and what he attained. Like, I don't care about that, I loved him because I've seen something that is rare, but it's not enough. I need someone who I can talk to, having the same passion as I do. But sadly, I'm done chasing him.
@GypsyRock
@GypsyRock 2 жыл бұрын
Obviously it’s not “rare” if he’s just another surface level douche obsessed with looks. (Also u say in the same sentence that even though hes “rare” it’s “not enough” 🤔) U didn’t see soemthing “rare” in him if ur already here complaining about him and his lack of talking to u personally, needing to “change his behavior,” and how nothing u do is “enough for him” Stick it out being single & wait til someone TRULY RARE crosses paths with u. Best of luck

Mathew, please make a video on how to stop the habit of emotional dumping... I complain too much to my close friends and boyfriend and i feel like a terrible burden because of it. At the same time, venting is the only thing i can think of that makes me feel better and helps me to cope. I really want to stop it tho, i know sharing too much is toxic and annoying and exhausting to others. Please let me know what can i do alternatively...
@syifayazidhabibah9303

Instead of dumping it to someone else which resulted to you feeling bad, try journaling as your new cope. You will be able to vent and emotional dump freely without feeling guilty and heavily burdening someone. Even though the medium different, it can be quite relieving. As long as you dont repress the brimming emotion, every option might be worth to try on

Hi Matthew, my concern with meeting his enjoyments, is my partners porn viewing has distorted his view of 'real sex' & what women like. He likes to view 'extreme' & that i would be 'vanilla', so meeting his needs is far beyond what normal women (myself included) do. What do I do in this case? He is a nice guy & I enjoy his company, but porn has distorted his understandings.

I live in a very religious culture so sex is a No no . It’s something people don’t talk about. Then there’s me who is very comfortable in my sexuality. Not a topic I’m afraid to talk about. My friends and family think I should stop I’m like why. It’s normal outside of Utah . It’s all about communication of needs. I’m so glad I have to say everything that comes out of my mouth. I would love to come however I can’t right now. Unless matthew you want to convince my bf to get it for me ? Haha. You got my attention all the time matthew. You could make a video of you sleeping I bet your fans would still watch. We are all beautiful and unique features about ourselves. If someone doesn’t like you then that’s there issue not yours. Love your passion so beautiful. I want my bf to come to Utah . Stubborn man I say. Anyways so it’s our story no else’s. I am not shy letting a guy know I’m attracted. I’m kind to everyone so I always make sure to do that. I like the bring up things as well on dates. I will start to defear well I have done that. I like the advice thanks matthew hussey

Why such a hyperbolic word like “addicted”? Addiction is never healthy. Please discontinue use of such titles and descriptors.

Anyway, I agree. Addiction is unhealthy, and trying to make someone addicted is the equivalent of pushing drugs. So you really want someone to suffer horribly when you're not physically or emotionally available for them, or if one day you leave them? Who in this scenario is the one with the problem?

As well-intended as these segments are, it just gets annoying to see how female-dominated this market space is. You never see these coaching channels directed toward men, and you never see men doing all this emotional labor to figure out how to be better. I got over spending my energy on this stuff years ago, not sure why YT keeps showing me these titles. Women are stuck with a disproportionate amount of emotional and mental labor already just to coexist in a world dominated by men. I damn sure am not doing it in my intimate relationships.
