I have played for nearly half a century. I've had some unusually good days that were followed up by long-term bad play. I realized that often the bad play came from trying to modify what I was doing so it would be more like what I was "supposed to do" (i.e. to be more like the pros). In particular, I've always had poor eyesight (massive astigmatism in both eyes), and WAY below-average talent. I've just recently come to realize that when I had those unusually good days, without realizing what I was doing I had drastically reduced by backswing. Less backswing means that it's easier to hit the sweet spot; hitting the sweet spot means more control, more consistency, and (unexpectedly) more power. That's not necessarily the best way for everyone to play, but it's best for me. Even pros cut their backswings way down when their ability to time the ball and connect solidly with it is stressed (e.g. in return of first serves). But since I'm a really bad athlete, I face that ALL THE TIME. And though a minimal backswing limits one's power, at my level people have to baby their shots for consistency anyway. But for me, taking a backswing of a foot or two but then putting my weight into the ball works much better than taking a big backswing and then swinging forward REALLY SLOWLY.

Hitting the ball focussing on the ball while staying blind for the court on the other side is indeed the key.(after many years of practicing tennis).

Wanted to add just one thing that most club players prepare to hit ball after bounce hence hardly get time to adjust racquet to hit in front.

One question Sometimes at the 4.0 level you may get a moon ball which has so much height if you let it drop and try to hit it on the fall you will be at the fence. In that case what stroke do you recommend?

Good video! The first point is one I have been trying to work on in recent weeks. Way too often I try to go for the "perfect" shot, either by hitting too hard, and/or going for perfect placemet. This results in severe lack of consistency. I should be focusing on just returning the ball until a realistic situation to hit a winner arises.
