My very 1st comment on youtube ever after 15 years of using it. I tried removing and reinstalling AC cable & battery, same with the 30 sec trick before reinstalling 15 times. Vacuumed and blew out everything I could find. Tried the power/speaker a dozen of times. What did the trick was removing/reinstalling the memory. I was going to spend money on a new battery or I was going to reinstall the BIOS. Thank you and keep up the good work!

It worked! At first I tried to remove the battery and start the computer with the adapter only (didn’t work). Then, with the battery still out, removed the ram and put back in (still did not work). Finally tried to start it without the battery and ram and still did not work. After putting everything back together and getting ready to Chuck my laptop in the trash, I pressed the power button one last time for shits and gigs and it worked!!

Had almost the same issue. Nothing blinked but a dead laptop. Already disconnected the RAM module and the battery but to no avail. Great video showing my "blinking light" issue (not listed in HP Tech Support blinking light overview). The first 2 steps did not work...but step 3, that was the ticket. Hi thanks for the help... What I had to do was remove the ram then turn on the laptop & without it's ram it peeps.. I then turned it off and reinstalled it ram.. turn it on and laptop is good as new.. Thank you, thank you, thank you... your a God sent.

Thanks for this. For anyone else this doesn't work for, what fixed it for me was to remove one of my RAM chips, which had apparently gone bad. As soon as that was gone it booted right up.

I had the same problem and I was able to fix it using method 2 1.Unplug the charger 2.Unscrew all the bolts 3.Unpin RAM 4.Unpin the internal battery 3.Pin the RAM back in 4. Pin back the battery 6. Plug in the charger 7. Power on the laptop (Press On/Off) This should work - at least worked well in my case.

Replacing motherboard would be expensive
