Thank you. Another question. Would a wide stance for a regular ground stroke be a good idea. Or is there a reason for a narrower stance on regular ground strokes.
@oneminutetennisАй бұрын
Great questions. Fur there enthusiast m regular. 45mph or less serve. Yes. Take the racket back high.. Make contact high... And have a clear objective in mind. Regarding the wide stance. The normal split step should be narrower than the return of serve. The reason why is simple. On the ralley split step. You maybe going sideways, or, backwards or forwards. On the serve return. Almost always left or right. The wide stance is great for left and right . But poor for forward or back . Does that make sense and answer your excellent and informed questions? Have a great day Steve

Great tip that I will try to keep my elbows closer to the body on the return of serve. Question: Is the split step different on the return of serve compared to the doubles server partner at the net?
@oneminutetennisАй бұрын
Great question. They are very similar, and different to the split step on the groundstroke. The groundstroke split is narrower. The reason why is that with the groundstroke, you maybe moving sideways. Or forwards or backwards. With the return it net position. Your almost always going to be reacting sideways... Hope this answers your excellent and informed question Glad your enjoying the channel Please let me know how it goes? www.oneminutetennis.com

Thank you good advice. A question, for slow serves should our approach be a more regular ground stroke? Slow being 45mph or slower where the ball is pretty much sitting up there there you to hit?
