@@De__zu you can but it will deadly slow. Bro I said in the beginning only I had encountered same problem I have tried everything. Only SSD solved the problem. I had even formatted my whole laptop it doesn't slove shit. Just fit the cheapest SSD but of good brand and make your HDD an external hard drive.

@@mrchurch8573 that 's exactly what I said, if u are spending to fix a problem, then that's not a "tips/solution" it's called upgrading. And spending always solves everything. No big deal, no credit for that. Where as twicking around settings to get a job done is really worth time and respect. I still remember using readyboost/pagefiles to boost my windows 7 back in days, as I couldn't afford a new RAM. I used to partition my SD card as use it as my phone internal memory back in days as I couldn't afford a samsung galaxy phone that time. Hope u understood my point between upgrading and "fixing"

1. Install windows-x 11 lite it's light on your system and runs smoothly make sure to enable windows defender while installing. 2. Double your RAM, e.g from 4gb to 8gb that also helps old processors and makes operations way more smother. 3. Instead of a hard-drive install a SSD in your old laptop and make sure it is no less then 128gb, 256gb recommended. 4. Debloat windows x-lite - 11 as well through debloat commands. 5. Uninstall antiviruses, enable windows defender on windows x-lite -11. 6. Always close background programs through task manager. 7. Battery health diminishes with time find a new battery and install it on your old laptop. And there you have it your old laptop is ready to be used and works as good as the new budget ones.

My ultimate trick........ Learn to watch task manager apps And reverse search for abnormalities and how to correct them.. Also... sometimes disabling faulty hardware works like a charm....

I know a trick through we can boost speed of pc through cmd operation Goto Run -> type "tree" -> (progress) By Using it there's a caching mechanism in place, then those cache would be cleaned up and it might be good chance that subsequent access to a file can be faster... Hope its helpful

You can also use run , then go and search temp in there then delete all the files , do the same for preftech and /temp. It will clear the cache files for your pc .

Don't clear prefetch. It actually helps in opening up apps u usually open faster

Use disk defragment , deletes cache files, and optimize its, but you know I have quick heal , it have pc tuner- which deletes cache, cookies , in just 10 minutes, laptop runs like new

Windows defender also takes up a lot of resources. I found ESET internet security to be the least resource hungry software. Just remember to disable windows defender, otherwise it will continue to hog up space.

Do whatever changes in setting or anything there is not noticeable chenge in the speed, only option is SSD. I used my hp pavilion gaming ryzen 5 With HDD more than 1.5 years and in Last month i installed ssd of 500gb Laptop is running very very fast without any lag. I spend 2500 on buying SSD , worth of buying it. Boot time comes under 10 sec from 2 minutes

More tricks Step 1- hit win+R and type %TEMP% Step 2-hit win+R and type TEMP Step 3- hit win+R and type prefetch Step 4- hit win+R and type msconfig and go to boot and advanced options Tick Number of processors and select maximum number of processors Note:1-Step1,2,3 you have to delete all files and folders 2-after doing all of this Restart Your Laptop Or computer (And see the magic)

Using debloater scripts sometimes corrupt windows and some application will stop working. If you see anti virus service executable consuming more resources go for third party anti virus software like eset security. This will reduce unnecessary cpu consumption

Good tricks! They really work. Laptops become slow because their storages become slow. All the way from the the hard disk to ram to cache to the registers. One effective way is to install an SSD, nahi to I'd prefer removing windows or dual booting Ubuntu if you don't wanna remove windows. Ubuntu to gnome shell se customise karke you can make it look like a Mac or windows....tons of videos available for step by step guide... If not Ubuntu try going for something light like chrome os. This should work.
