First off, nice work and thanks for the tutorials. I am just trying to get started on book keeping for a construction business. Luckily, I have small amounts of paperwork. I wanted to make a file directory to organize the receipts into digitally. So I had AI create a file directory based off of my chart of accounts. Since it couldn't make the file directory in windows I browsed around and found out AI could make a batch file(.bat) that would automatically create the file system. I'm using the bat file as a template to create more file systems to keep my receipts organized quarterly. I'm willing to bet you could use this idea

What do you think of all these companies suggesting that bookkeeping will phase out and we need to become fractional CFOs? It keeps coming up on my feeds. Idk if I should consider taking their courses.

I’ve been seeing a lot of this too, but I think where there will be big changes in accounting/bookkeeping is at the larger institution level. I used to work for a big company and they tried implementing “robotics” as it was called at the time (before AI was the hot topic) for repetitive transactions and over 6 years later they still haven’t implemented it. Since unique, one-off transactions happen all the time in accounting, it’s going to take a while for AI to be a big component. Smaller businesses just won’t have the capital to invest in it to where it will be financially viable. The smaller companies seem to be less organized and consistent with their transactions by using their credit cards for personal use, as an example. Cleanups are also going to require a human due to all of the physical receipts that need to be processed.

@@loganbrown463 you are very right. i remember when working for corporate they would build automatic systems but regardless we would have to go and make additional entries. So this is true.

Great points/discussion. I don't know for sure about the classes that teach us to be more CFO-like. I personally find that kind of interesting, and see it as a growth opportunity for myself. I can imagine that not everyone agrees. Logically, I think being more of an advisor and thinking outside the box will be key (plus all the things Logan mentioned). Although I don't know for sure if the classes being advertised are legit or not (I'll probably be getting the ads now that we've messaged about it, ha). So, not a concrete answer, but just my thoughts!

A good and practical video on the administrative use of AI in bookkeeping. However, I'm curious about the " potential" use of AI to be able to integrate business transactional entries and the generation of financial reports. Hence, negating the need for many bookkeepers. Do you think that our days may be numbered Morgan? Thanks.
