I'm a huge weather watcher and although it's been a but wetter than normal on the Gulf Islands in Thailand, couldn't help but notice poor Danang and Gulf of Tonkin on down have been hit by one freight train of a system after another for weeks. Many aren't aware Danang as lovely as it is, sees a fair few tropical storms and worse. Annual rainfall in Danang is almost 100 inches or 2500 mm vs Koh Samui 1900 MM or 75 inches. Anyways Sid, hope you get dry n warm soon and a flight to Thailand for a break. Btw, anyone interested, I love Saigon, great city, here's my vid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opDLd2CHhZebjdU

The view point to the rock can only be reach by walking through the Bush. When you get level with the tower ocean side. You'll see a small path going down, you need to follow that. Also. When the cement road becomes dirt, you come to the 180% turn leave your bike there and walk through the wood. Another view point very few people know about. For your next trip 😊

Another great video. Your vids helped me through a brutal Canadian {Manitoba} winter and it ain't over yer. Being a fellow Canuck you must have memories of our winters. Some day I will spend a winter in that country but if I started wandering around trails like the cell towers ones it would not end well. With my sense of direction {none} and luck {again..none} I'd pop out in Cambodia only to come face to face with the " not so rare tiger in this area ". Considering Koh Phangan is an island, this would be quite the journey. Best to stay at a bungalow on or near the beach and enjoy the view.

Thx in chill Manitoba (hang in, spring coming;). Being from Vancouver, snow in the city is rare. My snow memories are mostly blasting thru powder up at Whistler with a huge smile. But once was transferred to Calgary in January. Weekend before was rollerblading in shorts round Stanley Park (as you do in Vancouver even in mild winter). Next thing I know I'm in -30, wrapped up in layers, looking like the goodyear tire guy and installing a damned block heater! I like Cowtown but suffice to say, much prefer a beach bungalow;)

@SideTripLife2 жыл бұрын
Doh! Keep forgetting to do that, thx for the reminder. Generally speeds fluctuate in hotels/bungalows (often depends how many are using same hotel wifi at same time etc). But there's also multiple co-working type cafes around the island with super fast free wifi (just buy a cuppa etc & many camp out all day). Also recommend stopping in at a AIS, TRUE, or DTAC shop and asking if they have an unlimited SIM card promo. I have one @10Mps 200 baht/$6 month (this was a rare deal but pays to ask). So I'm never without reasonably fast internet anywhere I am as it usually clocks 20mps up and 50 down.

Thanks for going back to the original style shooting. Personally the masses and loud partying was a turn off after watching your channel for the past year. Mexican schnitzel!!
@SideTripLife2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely had to see and film the 1st Full Moon party of 2022 both to gauge the turnout (as an indicator of 'will people return') and also to see if the former full-on FMP bucket-brigade style would dominate, or the touted 'Back to the roots' chill style FMP. Turns out it was a mix of both styles and obviously fairly well attended. Personally not a huge fan of the FMP (at least not the full-0n style;) but many locals depend on it for income and it's really just one day/night out of a month. The rest of the time Haad Rin & beaches all over KPG Island are pretty chill. Mexican schnitzel! - There was Mexican food on the signage but I then panned to another menu board, doh! Ah well, maybe there's a biz idea, Tex-Mex-Schnitz lol
