Interesting- I am 70 and prescribed this for Rhinitis/ chronic hay fever -- Honestly I was shocked even on the first day -- it worked -- now does have side effects -- I half to mention that it cured my balance issue -- also the strange reaction from people when they hear U R take N it !!!

@kevinclark6528 Don't worry at all what other people think. Many of the people will always stick there beak in where it has no business being. Up until maybe 2000 taking a medication in the anti depressant category was something people didn't talk about. I use it for that but Amytriptaline is very useful as an off label drug. I don't notice any side effects with it but even if I did it's a small price to pay. Depends on seriousness of the side effect of course

I get crazy dreams from this. Mostly nightmares but that might be specific to me. Doc says to take it in evening. Now I only take it first thing in morning. Xanax is better

I take 50ml methadone a day with 20 mg amitripteline and 15 mg of valium. I feel fine just gained some weight

Am on both amitrypline and prozac and the excr pains and sufferings have slowly changed my moods and that's why the doc put me on prozac otherwise the pains are unbearable with amitrypline

Everyone is putting me off even putting one in my mouth I was already scared of it -I am on SSRI ‘s I can’t risk becoming unwell from this ?I am on it for nerve pain?Weight gain I am off cheers 👋As someone that’s struggled with Anorexia in the past the thoughts of this for a bone spur on my neck and pressing on the cord -Jesus Christ save me from this lot of meds
