Me, too…as a retired psychotherapists, I’ve understood co-dependency, etc, etc….but only thought of them in terms of primary relationships, not friendships. This presentation gave me the best language and principles to adjust my friendships that are imbalanced. When I say ‘no’ to a friend and that person reacts with pain/sadness, I typically feel so sad for them, I do what I don’t want to. The piece about: that is their feelings, not yours to resolve, transformed me…gave me language to express the change…and hold my ground. Sadly I have taught lots of people to think of me as an unending resource. The capacity to love deeply and have such a wealth of wisdom, has misguided me. Thank-you fir that amazing correction!! Shirley from Alberta😊💜👩🏼

Ok Im at the time stamp 6:26/12:36 and I just had an AHAAAA! moment. You just gave me the answer as to why I always get attracted to men who see women as independent humans, great conversationalists and equals to them. WHY? Cause thats how my Dad raised me and treated me as a kid even tho 80% of my life hes out of my life cause of work. He never made me feel I am less capable of dreaming, achieving and doing things men are also able to do. 😍 Thank you. You just gave the answer to an age old question why I get attracted to guys that in hindsight more of the same as how.my Dad is to me growing up. WOW 👏👏👏👏👏

I couldn’t have any conversations with my ex and we stayed together for 12 years. He could never talk about boundaries or feelings. He would say it wasn’t his problem. He didn’t care. We would yell and then he’d get physical with me. When I kept bringing it up he’d get mad and say I don’t care what you want. So sad. My responsibility. I chose him. It’s my fault I was in a trauma bond with a narcissist. Thank you for your videos man, they’re very helpful.

@@JoshPerryBMX Well I would think you know , the same reason I suspect you wouldn’t swear to the faceyou wouldn’t swear to the face of your grandmother or children or wife. I understand that everyone’s got their own personal standards on the use of that expression , as I said this is public. And it’s unnecessary the English language and vocabulary is wide enough to be adequately expressive. No parental control on these things .. in general I read far too much swearing & my kids use social media and read comments.

@@Sunnyfield323 I respect your perspective and I hear you. As for me and my family (parents, fiance, cousins, etc.) business partners, friends, etc., we don't have a problem with swearing as we all see it as just a word and don't have any emotional charge the word, which is just that: a word. I of course don't swear in various circumstances where I know it to unwarranted in any form. Adult audiences on youtube is not such a circumstance. The projection from one's self is what determines the use of the word being "unneeded" or not. It's not fact, it's an opinion based on the individuals own bias to such words and triggers of emotions in one's Self. I believe this also speaks to ones shadow Self as its own individual projection onto others that goes against ones own belief structure leading the unconscious mind to search for those that oppose this belief. It's ironic you chose to ask me not to do something in my life that has no affect on you what so ever, other than how you unconsciously choose to let it affect you, on Kerwin's page when he literally says the same thing to crowds he speaks to, which I have attended and heard for myself, as well as in various forms of his own content. That all said, I am curious why my choice in words bothers you so much? Much love and respect!

@@JoshPerryBMX mmm I get the psychology .. it is indeed my opinion, as valid as yours, I was never under any illusion of otherwise . It’s a position shared by many others and many others of which do not share this opinion and perspective. We all live in a community.
