As a 74yr old motorcyclist who has been riding for 55yrs and never had a serious accident, people still keep telling me its dangerous. The only midlife crisis I had was when my beloved BSA needed a rebuild and there was nothing in the piggy bank.

Yep, not having the cash to fix it would be a crisis indeed. I agree. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

Hi I like your camera and it's very crisp and a great camera. You guys can get a portable jump starter that can be used on cars and motorcycles just have to make sure to keep the jump starter charged up and it also has a flashlight and I can plug it into a USB port to keep it charged. It's very handy to have around for battery troubles. Stay safe

Hi Yashik, It doesn't stay clean for long as I've already got more bug guts on it haha 😄 I am planning some travel adventures this year (weather permitting) and I am going be getting a larger memory card so I can capture more footage for my vids. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊

I am 84 and have ridden for over 60 years. I have never had an accident. If you learn the proper skills bikes are no more dangerous than many activities. I have exactly the same bike as you. Even the dame colour. I love the Rebel and will ride as long as I am able . Enjoy your riding . Nothing compares !

1) Well, about safety, a study in Sweden showed that nearly all lethal motorcycle accidents involved young men on powerful bikes going way too fast. If you ride somewhat sensibly, you have a good chance to be OK. Don't forget the sidestand though😬. 2) About economy, my bike gets 65-75mpg. Tax is negligible and insurance is fair. And general upkeep is also much less than my car. So I save money when i take the bike instead 👍😛. 3) Midlife chrisis? I got my license at age 18 and have been riding on and off ever since so ... Ride safe

Hi Jona, Thanks for the comment. 😊 I can totally see how too much speed can lead to a loss of control or being unable to stop in time if something enters your lane, resulting in an accident. I think it's best to be a cautious driver that way. You're right too, my bike is way cheaper to fill than my car! Haha Keep the shiny side up! Thanks for watching!

Found you yesterday and watched all your videos. Fun and informative. I sold my Suzuki 250 marauder last year and miss it. I am looking into getting the 300 rebel You said that you would be getting another bike at some point I am curious what you are thinking about getting? Hope to see more videos this season 2024 I am from NewBrunswick Canada Thanks

Hi Kelly, Thank you for watching! I'm happy you found me as a fellow Maritimer I've been thinking of upgrading to a 500-650cc, not sure of the brand yet. I do know tho, I can't wait for this snow to all melt and for riding season to begin.

Just found your channel an watched quite a few of your videos. You asked about a way to call help for you after a crash? I dont know what the App is but there are some. They detect an impact, a countdown timer flashes on the screen, an if you dont click cancel, it calls a preset contact. I think it can also text your location. I have only seen videos of crashes where they got up an clicked cancel, so the details I am not sure on. Carto is supposedly releasing an record function to their app, so you will be able to record commentary or voice chat with it. My understanding is that most car vs motorcycle crashes are caused by cars, but most motorcycle crashes are motorcycles crashing all on their own. Mostly people thinking they can ride faster than they really can. So if you keep your ego in check, your odds go way up. Now you just have to assume eveyone is blind an/or texting an your probably good. I had a guy fail to see me an pull out in front of my diesel truck pullin a 40 foot horse trailer. So if they cant see that, they sure cant see a bike. My third bike was a rebel 250. No reason to ever upgrade if you like it. I have been riding off an on for 30 years now an I currently ride a 230cc china cruser. Most people only care that you ride. The ones that care what you ride are not worth talking to. The 230cc china bike is a bit small though. Tops out at 62. Looking at a V-star 250. Looks a bit better than the rebel in my opinion an sounds better too. Its a V-twin so... Check you ckain an whatnot when cold weather sets in. The shop has way less work in the winter so its easier to get parts an work done. And your only without the bike when its to cold to ride. Anyway, keep up the videos

😊hi I just watched your video and even driving a car is dangerous and so many people have died in car accidents. I have seen on the news that a person either walking or in a wheelchair got hit by a car so no matter what we do it can be dangerous. Yeah we are always spending our money on something and it brings us pleasure. Even spending money on your best other half. All we can do is watch everyone as we ride or drive or even walk. Stay safe and healthy and your boyfriend too.

Hi Susan, I totally agree. There are dangers even at home, so it's best to remain mindful in everything we do and watch out for ourselves. I often see car drivers texting and driving. The same driver might cross the yellow line because their eyes are not on the road. They don't always see the bike and usually make a panic swerve when they do. It drives me crazy that in some cases the bike gets blamed for human error.

Great job Ali ! 1st point..I always, ALWAYS assume the cagers cannot see me (in another life, I was the Invisible Man) haha... 2nd point..Mid life crisis....at my old age when I started riding, people musta thought I had a death wish, so I guess mine was a "near death crisis" LOL 3rd point...mine have been an investment, as they're all increased in value from when I bought em!

🤣 "Near death crisis." Bob, you are so funny! It's crazy what people assume though. That's a good point you made about your bike being an investment because they really do go up in value. I'm pretty sure my little 250 is worth more than what I paid for it. As usual, thanks for watching. I really enjoy having you as a subscriber! 😊

🤣I had the same thing said to me the first time I told a guy I had gotten a bike and I am way passed midlife (which is exactly what I said ) people are just clueless . Dnagerous well yeh I guess but the rider can negate most of that just by being aware sure there are occasions when you might not forsee whats gonna happen but the same aplies when you cross the road .😉👍
