THIS IS SO USEFUL! THANK YOU! I'm currently designing a medieval town and struggle a lot with the roof. I want each of the building to look unique while maintaining some sense of similarity, which I decide will be the general shape and block pallete, but the roof is something I wanted to plat with more, so I'm glad this was recommended to me. Addtional question, do you prefer the roof outline to be stone and the filling wood or the other way around? What's your opinion on both?

Glad you found it helpful, You can indeed swap the wood and stone, I also suggest Deepslate and Polished Diorite, But I suggest experimenting with lots of other blocks many can work together, don't limit yourself to brick and spruce! if your building a town you don't want all the houses to have the exact same blocks because they will start to merge into each other, you might build 2 houses same size, and mostly the same layout, but have one be spruce and brick, and the other use, dark oak and deepslate. Hope this helps.

@@SekaarMC got me there, I love the spruce and stone bricks combo, but you're right, after building 5 big building with the exact block pallete, it does start to blend together. I think I'll switch up the roof from deepslate to stone bricks or wood to story-tell the town better as well (stone and woods are more readily available than deepslste, so it's more rare and reserve for thosr who can afford it).
