Yeah man, he helps me out so much. I have worked out for many years, but never really learned to understand all the fine tuning that makes the workouts that much more effective. He really breaks things down so simply and it’s been so motivating for me. I pray for his family and we can keep his spirit alive through his videos. Have a great week, friends!

@@MrGflan absolutely. He helped me be able to really understand how to build muscle. For years I just worked out like I was still playing football. I’m strong but didn’t have the look I really wanted. Now I’m actually building a body.

The coolest thing about these videos is the more I learn about anatomy and bodybuilding, the more I understand what john has been trying to teach us all these years. I want to come back and show him all the progress I've made, even pick his brain about a few new concepts I've come across. But he has been guiding me all along, in a way his passing was the only way for him to help everybody. His spirit will still guide those that need him, you just have to be open to it.

I never even considered that I was watching the 'wrong' (young) people. Being a little older than John, I realized that his approach on many of his exercise was much safer and friendly to my old joints. I wish I would have discovered him years ago, but sadly it was only a few months before his passing. I have since modified about 50% of my exercises from watching his videos. The way he phrases 'activation exercises' really hit home, cause I have always had hit or miss tricep workouts. I made a Swiss Bar after seeing him use one, and it made all the difference in tricep pushdowns, taking the pain out of my repaired shoulders. Thank you to the mods of this channel for keeping these videos fresh in my feed. 🥇

Whenever you need to advice or a spot, remember John is there to help and motivate you everyday. I always try to picture John telling me “COME ON COME ON PUSH PUSH!” Even though it’s placebo, it helps push you even if it’s imagination. Let’s all lift and keep teaching others what John has taught us 🙏🏻

That static hold at the end of a tricep cable set is awesome. John has some awesome advice. Such a good way to finish off a tricep set. Anyone watching should try it. I could find the video for you if needed. I've tried that method with the last workout in this video and its a ridiculous finisher.

For me, I've found doing triceps on a cable machine is best, but not just that. I take the attachment off so it's just the carabiner and little plastic ball thing on the end. Grab that and do one arm at a time. I just can get better contractions that way, I typically do pushdowns, overhead extensions, and kickbacks (put the cable down lowest it can go, face machine, bend over, grab end of cable and do kickback).
