Sew cute 💕😊. My son passed away 10 years ago now and I’ve been saving his clothes so one day I can do this. But I still haven’t been able to bring myself to make it yet. One day ❤️.

Lovely quilt. I made a t-shirt quilt and used fusible tricot interfacing which really helped when I got ready to quilt it. I had no problem with quilting it at all. Each block was different and with the amounts of quilting in each block. Look forward to doing another one someday.

Hi Leah, adorable little memory quilt for that adorable child. You need to remember that that fabric is a single knit and it will stretch every which way, so my recommendation would of been to use a light weight fusible interfacing to help with stabilizing that single knit fabric and therefore it would make even your cutting of block more accurate for sewing.

Yes, and I did that in a previous t-shirt quilt. But I found pressing on French Fuse took a lot more time for each piece and added to the complexity of the quilt. With this method, we have the foundation fabric (in my case flannel) to stabilize the knit. But I learned it needed to be quilted carefully! Definitely a learning experience and lots of fun to create!

Lite weight iron-on stabilizer works beautifully. Would work well with your stitch and flip piecing method? Always enjoy your videos. Quilt is cute as a button!

Yes, you could add something like French Fuse to the back of each piece. I started this quilt when Betty was 3 months old, so I really wanted to minimize the steps that would slow this onesie quilt down. But yes, you could add that if you wanted to for more stability.
