3 Tips To Climb Mount Kinabalu 🇲🇾

Here is a BONUS TIP: Get sunscreen and a cap/hat especially if you have a sensitive skin like me as well as winter clothes and good hiking shoes.
If you are Malaysian and have done it please share extra tips for new people who want to climb. I haven’t done it myself and I’m about to do it for the first time this week. Sharing here what I’ve learned from you.
Also must get a guide and book early as it can take a while to set it up

Have you visited Gaya Street sunday market? Don't forget to visit the islands like Mantanani, pulau Sapi, Pulau Tiga etc or visit beaches like Bohey Dulang, Pantai Kelambu, tip of borneo.

Good luck Alvin.. I know you can reach Mt Kinabalu. don't run or climb very fast.. just enjoy the beautiful view.. bring along at least 1.5L water.. Don't drink the water at the huts.. you will feel very thirsty.

Wishing you all the best in my comfy home in kk. 😂 Just drink 100plus and eat KitKat and you should be fine. Your shoulders might sore from carrying your bag for the hike. Keep a steady pace on the first day to pana laban and don't rush it. But on the second day midnight climb try to reach the peak before sunrise. It's amazing if the sky's are clear. A Life time experience!

Did climb Mount Kinabalu in 1992. Was amazing but not difficult. It is the lack of oxygen that makes it difficult. Hikingwise it is easy. In the Swiss hiking scale a T2/T3.

I had a quite a bad of mountain sickness when I reach Laba Rata Camp. It was so bad that I looked pale. Nonetheless, the view was amazing at the top

If you're used to the high mountains when you went for skiing, these kinds of altitude sickness should be bearable for you. But still taking notes from the pros is a good thing. Other than that... HAVE FUN!!!❤
