It was for a world-renowned pharmaceutical company so we were beyond proud and excited for this job!

3 tips when dealing with Corporate Events:
1. Use Social Media to your advantage: LinkedIn is a good platform to start promoting your business, BUT nothing beats Google, so be sure to have a Google profile set up and running.
2. Reach out to previous co-workers and let them know what you are up to. They might have already moved to another company and then they can refer you to their event coordinator at their new employer.
3.And, be prepared! Many of you balloon artists are hoping to land bigger installs or dream of working with known and well-established companies but you don’t even accept credit cards as a form of payment yet 🫤 From our experience, 99.9% of businesses will pay with a corporate credit card. They will ask for an invoice and they will pay after the job is completed (depending sometimes on their next payable cycle) so don’t panic!
We use Square for invoicing and to process credit card payments. If you don't have it set up yet, it is the easiest action you will take on your business. Do it today!

Great job fellow Canadians! (I’m from Montreal, now living in Tennessee). I agree with you 100% - just read one of your blog posts.. spot on! The hardest thing I find is to provide an accurate quote for those large, corporate jobs and to find help that is actually helpful. I also have a full time balloon business since 2015 and am doing very well. My only regret is not having started younger. I’m 65 now & so ready to retire! Congrats again - lovely website too!

This looks like an ENORMOUS amount of work. Could you share a ballpark idea of what something like this costs? How do you factor cost/service/materials on this scale? I’m not in the business…just genuinely overwhelmed by the # of hours you put into this! 😮

Not gonna lie, it was a lot of work, but we're sort of used to it 😉We charge on average $650 per garland or $990 with a backdrop. Once you add it all up, it makes it worthwhile! 😅

If the client decides to rent the backdrops from us, we provide them along with the balloons. Sometimes, they rent the backdrops from prop companies too as we only carry a select amount of backdrops.

Question- could you reuse/reconfigure some of the balloons for the next project? It looks like a lot of the same quads/clusters were used throughout. It seems like it would help save time with set- up and would ultimately be a cost savings. Thoughts?

such a great questions! as long as the balloons are store at room temperature they can be re-used. Inflated balloons will take a lot of room so as long as you have where to store them and how to transport them, you're goodQ 😁

I never use tape just in case it pops I always use a broom but it’s pretty easy for me as I’m 6ft3 and have long arms

I just went back and it was really heard to understand... my apologies! What I said is that some business owners make efforts to gain corporate clients but they don't take credit card payments. 99.9% or corporate deals will be paid by cc. Setting up an account with Square is pretty simple
