F the haters dean there’s thousands of us who are big fans and don’t often write or comment much, we all appreciate all the work and sacrifice and incredible talent and heart it takes to compete at your level let alone the several potentially career ending injuries you’ve endured. Honestly amazes me that anyone can hate on a guy like Deano just shows how mindless these haters are. Love from London 🇬🇧!

Hey Dean. I’ve always been a fan. My junior MX race number was 15. I then got another bike in 2003 in my 40’s. I started entering local cross country Hare Scrambles. I would finish in the back lot of riders mostly because I would slide out in corners. One of NZ ‘s top MX riders was also practicing at a local track one day and did these same cornering drills. Also a zig zag up and down a grassy slope of about 45deg standing for clutch and throttle control. Anyway. All that to say. I stopped falling off when racing and got three trophies that year. Most improved rider. Second overall 250 class. And the horses arse trophy for not seeing the chequered flag and doing an extra circuit. 😂 So these drills really do work folks. Thanks Dean all the best. Take care. Go hard. Paul.

We used to set up two markers, 50’ apart and do laps. Clockwise, counterclockwise, and figure-8. Slide your butt off the seat to the outside, wieght the outside peg, lean the bike over. As you get faster and as the berm forms, you get get to the point where your peg drags. Then, you can get where your handlebar slims the grass.

In deep ruts try slowing down with front brake and go straight for the deepest inside rut, continue braking with one finger and crack open the throttle as you enter the turn while pushing the front brake. You’ll never corner faster. Front brake and throttle at the same time all the way through the turn. Try it.. you’re welcome

Yeah when you go out to the local tracks and try to practice these things you can't so finding a vacant lot or public land is the only way to get good at what you are weak at doing. Maybe you can show how to whip for beginners in a future video? Good stuff keep it coming.
