Good info, just starting to dabble in surf/play. Started paddling in a remix last fall but just ordered a rockstar. Attempting to form a quiver of boats for different disciplines to become a rounded paddler. Watched a lot of you content and it’s been very helpful, many thanks and keep it coming.

Varied and constantly changing practice can be helpful on progressing some skills. Having a small quiver is nice because it’s gives options so you can paddle more days so you can leaner more.

Thank you for continuing to provide incredibly useful advice. Much love brotha! I seriously hear your voice in my head sometimes when I'm paddling and it helps tremendously

Right on! Hope this helps, I wish I had a more inspiring Obama-esque voice to be n repeat in your head

@@SethAshworth nah I think Obama is great and all, and a wonderful orator, but his timing and candor doesn't work with paddling. Your mellifluous and relaxed prose is more appropriate for flowing waters 😁

@@Gorlim_the_Unhappy 10/10 use of the word mellifluous (which I had to look up)

Hey Seth, with the Nile gone, is the Ottawa now the only real go-to place for wave boating trips? I know Slave is meant to be great but I hate, like really hate, mosquitos
@SethAshworth3 жыл бұрын
Yea I have never been to the slave but the bugs are legendary. I would say don't forget about Skook out on the west coast, again never been but apparently it is all time. if you are looking for big water destinations in general I think that there are probably still plenty of places to go, but if you are looking for just freestyle, options are dwindling right now but I think this will change with time. Looks like finland has a cool spring season too from the last couple years, check out Visa Rahkola on IG and some of the other Finns. There are probably some other spots too.

The good thing with the mosquito on the slave, it's that you are never alone to paddle! :) But honestly, if you are in drysuit, you only need a bug head net on the way out and you're good.

@@fqcm8073 Ah but see I am a dirty casual who also wants a holiday. Seems like the Futa, Nepal, and Zam are the places to go for big water, but the Ottawa is the best for easy wave surfing and developed world logistics
