I have the exact same boat so this helped out a lot, thanks Seth.

I'm looking forward to playing around with this in my new Ripper when it arrives. Really helpful to know roughly what to expect. My guess is just back from center will be where I end up. Really helpful video.

Interesting. I've recently put the seat all the way back in my Party Rexy and I've actually found it easier to turn and control vs having the seat in the centre or forward. Strangely it also seems to carry speed better as well. But I need more time in it with this position to really see if I like it that way.

It can vary manufactures to manufacturers and boat to boat significantly. Good to play around with it if you have time.

It would take me all day to adjust my seat that many times😅

Obviously the forward position or center position would be best for running big stuff especially in a half slice since they are so imbalanced anyway. But what if the back position is all I can fit in my Antix 2.0? Same thing with my supernova,: all the way back

Have you tried trimming the foam?

When you are on the low end of your weight limit on your play boat does seat placement matter for more control for throwing your boat around? These videos help us new boaters alot, appreciate all the advice
@SethAshworth3 жыл бұрын
Yes this will have an effect in that too, usually when I paddle a boat that is too big for me I have the seat a little more forward so I have better control over the bow. generally. Worth experimenting though.

@@SethAshworth again really appreciate it.. I'm going to try it out tomorrow, thanks

This is pretty much the same as trim, lean forward and the boat will turn faster whereas leaning back and the boat will slower
