Thank you for your kind words Dawn! Enjoy the process and experimentation - the more you practice the more you will discover on your own and will get better and better with every painting 💙 I promise the key is time spent with the medium so don’t rush - you will get exactly where you want to go with time ☺️ paint what you like with colors you enjoy and if my videos bring a tiny bit of inspiration - I am so glad! 💕

Thank you for reminding me to Enjoy the process and not to rush it! I just watched your video again it always helps to watch a couple of times to comprehend the information! Obviously I have never gone to art school and so I feel as I have missed out on a lot of basic stuff although I’ve always been creative so I know I have some knowledge! You have given me much more than inspiration I believe it’s the ability to slow down and actually look at things! We get so busy in our lives that we glance at something make an assumption and MoveOn! But if we truly slow down and LOOK and observe & continue to observe over-time will begin to see all of these little variations in tone & color! The realization of this is what I get from your videos! Your voice is so calming and I appreciate you reinforcing my thinking to stop and look at the different colors that are actually there! For example I never knew black didn’t exist in nature! Seems like such a simple concept but for someone who has never stopped to smell the roses because they were always too busy with their own lives like me it’s a new concept to explore! This is just one of the reasons why I am so happy that I stumbled across you! Take care and have a Terrific week! Hugs!❤️ Dawn

What does quinacridone mean? Is it just a brand name or does it refer to the elements in the pigment?

Have you considered painting a “black” flower like you’ve painted white ones? I imagine it’s just as difficult and you can demonstrate that those black flowers aren’t really black at all.
@AnnaBucciarelli
@AnnaBucciarelli 9 ай бұрын
Great idea! Do you mean those deep blue black irises? That’s the only one that comes to mind / that I’ve seen 😊💕

@@AnnaBucciarelli Or tulips that are a dark purple, or there’s a taro/elephant ear species that has “black” leaves that are really a dark grey. There are black roses that are a dark red and are very interesting, and black hellebore is really pretty and seems to come in several extra-dark colors, like purple, red, and blue.

Anna:: I love your KZbin channel and your professional quality botanicals. One thing that bothers me is the format you chose in which you change from one step to the next with a graphic numeral cutting away from the artwork completely for several moments in which I am up trying to look at the detail you have specified and don’t have time to absorb it. Sometimes it is better to have a moment of quiet before moving to the next step so our brains can move on. All that graphics does is scramble my thoughts and I lose track of some detail I’m trying to follow. This is a minor item to focus on but I would appreciate something less visually disturbing. TY for showing your work & process. I have learned a lot & will try to apply it.
