It's a great jack! I really only wish the cup part was a little bit deeper, but other than that, it's awesome.

I bought this, and right off the box, the instructions say to add/top-off hydraulic fluid in the jack. Also, don't use the rear differential as a jack-point; big no no.

When we bought the jack, it didn't say anything like that. They may have added that on afterwards...or we could we have just totally missed it. As far as jacking up a car from the diff, there are lots of thoughts about it. Matt was taught that it's okay as long as its cast iron and done properly using the right style jack and done in conjunction with jack stands to secure and hold the weight of the car. A quick internet search shows lots of posts supporting both sides of the argument, so each person has to decide what is right for them and the vehicle they're working on. If there's any doubt, then it's best to follow what the manual says.

@@MarkDHall Yeah, when I opened the box, it was the first thing that was in view. At first, I thought it kind of strange because shouldn't it already be fully prepared? It's a good jack, albeit heavy and somewhat problematic.

Yeah, it's not a bad jack for certain things and for the price. Matt ended up getting one of the low profile Daytonas as his main jack, and it works great. The only downside is, there are no "ribs" or whatever they're called on the cup. It's perfectly flat, so you have to be real careful that it doesn't slide off the jack point.

Rule #1: Make sure it has enough hydraulic fluid in it.
