After watching this vid a couple times, I realized some things. -I don't know anyone who has had a good or successful marriage, so I have no examples to look at. -All her outbursts, emasculating, and overreacting are actually defensive survival responses because she feels threatened by our unhappy marriage situation. When she's triggered she defaults to "run away". -I am not her only trigger. There's work, family, etc. I need to be the rock that she can rely on when life tries to flush her away. You can't save someone from drowning if you can't swim. -Also, her triggering me to respond poorly to her drama train is a tool, so she can make it my fault she's unhappy. If I had control of her emotions, do you think I would pick miserable with me over happy to see me?? YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER HER EMOTIONS. If she can't control them that's on her. - I have slacked off from who I was when we met. I was cleaner, sharper, and way more on point than I am now. I need to get back to being the guy she fell in love with. Handle your business, step it up, and let her feel left behind if she doesn't keep up.

Thank you! I have gotten more practical advice from this channel than from any marriage coach in youtube.

You guys are Gods! Thankfully we are no where near the critical stage but I’ve found myself being off centre reacting to a lot of stuff. Listening to you guys has switched the light back on! Keeping the image of the mountain lion in my mind is gold as I will breathe stay calm and observe before saying anything! Thank you

Man , in one video alone you nailed exactly where I am with my wife after 42 years , I really think we are heading for a disaster if things don’t clear up on both ends. Thank you so much … she’s still blaming me for things that happened 35 years ago, I feel we are even as I have saved her life a couple times, and she forgave me for bad choices , so Is that it ? Is that the end or culmination of a marriage that long ? I’m really unsure what to do my dad is dead and his advice use to hep a lot. I don’t know I think I’m /we are screwed.😊

What I hear here is that I good guy that gives his life for his woman and family, he is faithful, he is loving, he sacrifices his friends to be with one woman, etc…. he will be treated like a garbage no matter what. So why we as a society allow matrimony knowing the statistics ? Why blessing the union.
