Camping on a friend's private property we were hiking to a ridge overlooking a stunning valley in Appalachia. There's basically one trail that runs from his cabin to the ridge, no parks or houses close by just miles of hilly forest. It's a 3.2 mile hike. With half a mile to go this guy just walks out of the forest and crosses our path. No hiking gear, he looked like he just went on break from an office job. He looked about 60, glasses, golf shirt and khakis. He just walked past us looking at his phone and gave us a "l'm too busy to talk" waves and continued on his way back into the woods. There was nowhere he could have been coming from or going. I stood in shock for a second than ran after him with a bunch of questions but it seemed like he vanished. We've never figured that one out

@@candicebroderick8373 l have a theory. Honestly l rarely if ever discuss paranormal events socially but privately l am fascinated by them. There are things that appear randomly that have no physical link to our world. They didn't evolve here or have any sort of historic base but when people encounter these monsters they are as real as you or l. Since we are in our reality (or dimenson) there's no reason that other ones do not exist. Certain places or series of events can create openings in the barriers that separate us. Not only would that explain Skinwalkers, Rake, Bigfoot, Dogmen or middle aged accountants just appearing in our world. Some find their way back home while other are trapped here and create legends. I think it works both ways too, people from our reality step out and become the Missing 411. One thing l am certain of, we have no idea of how strange our reality can be.

Why do campers & hikers go on their trails totally UNARMED????? At the minimum carry a 6" blade survivor knife, any firearm, some M80 loud firecrackers, a machete, mace(bears),whistle, and even a 900-mile laser pointer used for blinding the eye of predators or signaling. I also carry a motion sensor solar garden light that I nail to a tree to cover my tent approach this acts as a deterrent and gives me a sense of security.
