I like RGM, I'm glad you're showing some of the brands pieces, Roland G Murphy is a master watchmaker himself and a true American watch brand today is rare, I kinda think they're underated, I'm from Philadelphia PA and I love how he puts made in Lancaster PA on some of his dials and movements as well, his shop is the original Hamilton workshop in PA too, really cool IMHO, I'd love to own his 300 diver, it's a true tool diver and really well made. Your right too, that RGM Hamilton movement is beautiful. On a side note I actually own a beautiful gold fully hand engraved case pocket watch from the late 1890's from the american watch company Waltham that was passed down to me from my grandmother and it's still in amazing condition and full working order, when I was researching it I had found an article about Mr. Roland G Murphy and his passion for original Waltham pocket watches which I thought was very interesting so if I ever need maintenance or anything done to it I know exactly where to go.

I like Weiss alot and from what I understand they make their movement in house. Federico said they only machine a few parts in house and order the rest of the movement and just assemble it. Does anyone know if Fed is correct on this?

Beautiful lugs on the RGM, the thinner lugs make the timepiece look larger proportionally so it appears great for a 40mm case and a busy dial.

Kudos! Kudos! Kudos! love that you are giving these some attention, I would buy all three, but you are probably going to create demand and drive up the prices. There is another US maker, Keaton Myrick in Oregon who I think even makes his own movements. He only makes about a dozen pieces a year, so not likely you will ever see one in person.

I get that RGM is great and all but I honestly think their time has come and gone. I know a lot of other people here think RGM is the bees knees but I think I would rather stick with European or Japanese design, even if I like the idea of Made in USA
