This is the video I needed to see! I'm currently running the dii400.4 in my daughter's power wheels jeep on a pair of recoil 6.5 coaxial and a pair of recoil 4" coaxial @ 2 ohm on the front 2 channels and the rear channels are bridged on a rockville 8" shallow mount sub. But we just got sponsorship from Savard Audio and a local shop, so planning to replace everything and move up to 8 speakers and 2 6.5 subs. So I was thinking of upgrading the amp to the dii1100.4 for mids/highs and running a Kenwood xr601-1 amp on the subs. Thanks for the video!

I have had very good luck with both the Recoil DI series as well as the RED series. Very good amplifiers at their price point. The DII's look very nice.

Does it say if the clip lights are for clip in or clip out?

They lost their minds in the US on the prices on these. They went from being a value leader with the DI and RED to absolutely a price premium with DIIs. What idiocy. For the record, I own 7 Recoil DIs and REDs in 3 all-Recoil vehicles. They’ve lost a brand ambassador for life with this shit move.

Where are you getting US prices? I only saw a 600.1 for $200 something. I agree that's expensive, but skar has the same situation. Low, medium, and high tier lines. It's pretty common. Car audio ain't cheap. As soon as a company makes something good, they charge for it.

@@fortyfukinseven on their Recoil USA site. I know what you’re saying but I also bought my 600.1 a year ago when they first came out for $89 and now it’s $200. Exactly what I’m talking about.

Are the prices on screen Australian dollars? What's the actual street price in the US (not msrp)? I don't see them for sale yet.

@@JasonWW2000 it WAS on the Recoil Audio USA site. They pulled them all off. So confused.

@@JasonWW2000 Nevermind, they ARE on the Recoil Audio USA site. Insane prices.

It's funny that I'm not seeing a hi/lo switch for the inputs. How does the amp know if I'm sending it a 1v rca signal or an 8v rca signal? Other amps I've seen that have both high and low inputs through the rca jacks usually have a hi/lo switch. Maybe if it detects DC offset it will switch automatically? Not all high level signals have DC offset, though. Bit of a mystery here. Nice video. 👍

It's auto sensing he clearly says that in the first fkn 5 min
@JasonWW20002 ай бұрын
@christopherparis6841 There's no such thing as an auto sensing LEVEL switch. You might be confusing it with an auto turn on circuit. Those usually use DC offset. Some detect an audio signal and turn on. I'm strictly talking about the input LEVEL. I have numerous amps that use the rca inputs for high and low level voltages and they all either have a push button or slider switch to select. When you switch it to high level, it simply drops the voltage down. Basically a high quality line out converter, but built into the amp. I appreciate you trying to help, though.
