I watched one of your videos last year toward the end of the summer and started a lawn care service. now this summer I got my LLC and business license and a separate account and I have 43 accounts now. I just want to say thank you and you are awesome. I probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for your advice and encouragement. You are highly appreciated

I consult business owners and agree, building a business big enough is the simplest way to get to 1 million. I know a guy that hauls gravel and makes 300k/ year net. Two full time employees, himself, a few trucks and a government contract he fought hard to get.
@amolgill7480

Daniel Iles That’s Amazing. So he has a business with two trucks and has routes? That’s amazing. Can you explain how he started??
@DanielIles
@DanielIles 5 жыл бұрын
Elite Investor he has a government contract that has him working delivering gravel to different projects. He started out plowing snow in the winter and grading roads in the summer. He eventually saved up enough for a large 9 yard grader and a few dump trucks. Since getting the gravel work (and purchasing a gravel pit) he has only done that.

When you brought up inheritance it made me think about the all the people I know who suddenly came into wealth, and just as quickly lost everything. Most people want to learn how to make more money, but few have a plan for keeping it, building it, or dealing with the social dilemmas that come with it. I’ve noticed both this, and the ‘poverty mind set’ to be substantial hurdles in wealth building. If other people were interested, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this in a future video.

For nursing, a 2-year degree may be sufficient. If you earn more, you pay more taxes. The difference between 40 hours and 32 hours is only the next tax bracket and more taxes; no extra profit.
@christianzambrano4471
@christianzambrano4471 5 жыл бұрын
That first part, making 1 million dollars and only getting "half" after taxes does not mean that you are NOT a millionaire. You can make $500k in profit and still be a millionaire. The way forbes calculates networth is by adding the VALUE of your shares in a business as your assets. Lets say that business that makes $500k a year after taxes is worth 1.5M (if you were to sell it, this would be the price) and you own 100% of the business, then you are a millionaire!

My Venus is not in Capricorn but I always feel like I want to be a partner. Def not a leech. I hope you understand why I need some time for myself. (I mean I'm not yet ready to interact with you in a conventional way) I don't feel good when I feel like I'm not contributing anything to a relationship or I prefer to call it PARTNERSHIP. That's why I often ask what do you need from me because I want to feel needed. I want to feel like I'm doing something for my partner and the relationship itself. I don't literally need to be a dollar millionaire asap. But I just need to have some sort of certainty on my finances. I have a lot of receivables now. I can't disclose how much in total until they are all reflected on my local bank account. I APPRECIATE you BIG TIME for always being there for me while I'm trying to improve myself.

Great video with excellent points. Business doesn't always have to be on the 'Amazon' level as a lot of people think. It can be something as simple as taking your trade skill/craft and setting out on your own. I know a great many tradespeople who clear 6 figures a year easy.

Thanks for another great video Nate..I'm spending my day off working my side hustle (dyeing wool for rug hookers) so tomorrow I can sell it for $$$...some of these primitive crafters have money to burn...plus they are fun! Keep up the great work...

I think one thing you didn't say is that, although you may be able to make more money in a business than in the stock market, how many people have done that historically? So that doesn't measure any risk involved in running your own business, while historically the market is consistent. People fail in business and lose money much more often than they succeed. So this is a better strategy only if you are one of the ones who succeeds.

Your net worth. So essentially if you have no debt (liabilities) and over 1million in assets then you’re considered a “millionaire”

Rich people make investments, poor people go shopping. Sure I must buy what I need, but I buy the lowest cost items usually in bulk and on sale to meet my needs or I do without. I live like I'm extremely poor and watch my investments grow. I'm trying to buy 40 acres right now and will turn that investment into a steady income for me and 3 of my sons. I'm about to turn 60 and my working days are very nearly over ... it's time for my money to do 90% of the income generating ... I'm tired and it's time for me to retire to 1 business instead of 3. Thanks for the video, most of what you say is true, but are you living it??? I've got 6 adult kids, 11 grandkids and they need to learn working, investing.
