Haha fellow Kim main, I know your pain 😂 just think of this as when to use reversal level 3 I guess, we gotta take what we can. We have to hold this kinda pressure and block, its annoying as hell when you try to start your own pressure and your opponent just does a Dp, I say "must be nice having a reversal" every day lol

All i want for lily buffs is her spire to be a true reversal if she has a stock. I don't think thats too much to ask for. I know others would say just give her a true invul reversal without the stock but honestly that might push her over the top. So I'm fine with a middle ground compromise.

@@brettlewis2900 that sounds fair, I can see how a grappler could be too strong if they didn't have limits but with your idea you'd have to use a stock so there's a cost and more strategy involved. Manon and gief don't have Dp either. My idea was to give characters like Kim some invincibility on Backdash maybe just the first few frames but I can see it being a problem in burnout I guess.

Regarding the DP OS vs DRc, it’s worth noting that if the DRc was off a heavy like Ken’s 5HP instead of a medium like Ken’s 2MK, they can do an empty drive rush into block that will bait and block your DP. I’ve won games like this with Marisa because her 6HK DRc is such a scary mix, people will start to super during the DR-so empty DRc into block blows that up.

My answer would be when you know it is going to cost you more to not to. For example, Bison Drive Rush cancel you in your face during a block stun. I would not hesitate to Reversal because I know that getting knocked down by him is when he shine.

doing these stuff is what helped me during my dia grind to master, most of them doesn't know when to stop pressing buttons, always go for oki, always spam DRC combos with big gaps... it was easy master once you notice that.

When DPing through a Drive Rush blockstring, always use the crouching DP shortcut if your character has one (Modern charge characters can also hold down and mash their reversal button). This will keep you blocking low if the opponent uses a true blockstring like Kim 5MK into DR~2MK

For me when someone DI's me, for some reason when i try DI back my DI only comes out half the time, even if i use a med button. Is this because if you dont press it in time you miss the medium cancel window? Im playing Bison and its annoying asf when i use a standing mp then they DI, then mine doesnt come out at all even though im mashing the button like crazy

Chris do You know how yo deal with crossup spamers, or at least what's optimal against crossups on defense, this truly anoying specially with characters with a splash crossup e.g Gief and Honda spamming from point blank distance.

Greatly depends on your character. Generally you want to anti-air them using something like a crosscut DP if you have one

That’s one of her weaknesses. You can buffer a lvl 3 super after you block a drive rush cancel but it takes some practice. Not a Marissa main so I can’t offer any other advice

I’ve seen your videos on breaking through defenses and beating defensive players, but I haven’t come across one on how to deal with aggressive opponents. I’m struggling to take my turn against people who constantly apply pressure, like Bison or Akuma players who keep pressing their plus buttons. Sometimes, after they jab more than three times, my reaction time is too slow to counter, or I might not be pressing the correct button, like a 4-frame or 5-frame move. This is my biggest issue right now.
