I had a lock just like this one.I used a heavy hammer and some other tools to crack it open, it worked.Still these are fantastic methods to try out if you loose your key.This may not work on locks with reliable quality , which are quite heavier and rough ,well these methods work on normal padlocks easily available at markets also I appreciate this.

Yes, two dollar padlocks don't provide much security. Try a $100 padlock with double ball shackle locking and a shielded cylinder. You get what you pay for.

Premium grade padlocks with boron alloy, hexagonal shaped shackles will break the hardened jaws of even the largest bolt cutters. On the other hand almost any battery powered grinder with a cutoff disk and slice through any shackle on the market today in under 90 seconds.

You should study up on handcuffs and jail cell locks because that's where breaking and entering public buildings is going to get you. You think it's an abandoned building but it is locked up because it's not being used currently. Many retired school building are used for storage and they are often monitored by motion alarms that will notify local law enforcement of your presence. With bars on the windows and the doors padlocked from the outside it won't take the police dogs long to find you. Like shooting fish in a barrel, except your the fish.

These are SUPER LOW QUALITY locks. In the US, these locks can be purchased for between $1 and $2. There is probably a dozen ways to open these locks. These 3 "attacks" would not work on any lock of decent quality.

You'd be surprised how many locks would open with method one. But yeah for locks with ball bearing locking lugs and core shielding these will not work.

I actually carry a bolt cutter with me. On rural minimum maintenance roads landowners on each side sometimes think they own the road and fence them off. The best is when they actually put in wooden posts across the roads. I havent started carrying a chainsaw and shovel for flush ground cuts but im considering it. Then accidentally getting the corner posts too..
