What you get with this is practical and normal in an EV. Normal styling outside, normal door handles, buttons and switches inside with a sunroof that is large and opens. You can get it with all the bells and whistles and carplay. The infotainment system looks nicer and more integrated in the Blazer. My guess is the next iteration of the Blazer will have a little more horsepower. One problem with the Prologue is I’m not convinced Honda will continue to make them. It could be a one off so I’m not sure about long term support. It’s got a GM drivetrain so I’d wonder how well your Honda dealership would do with maintaining the car. Should you take it to a Chevy dealership?
@gleej81202 ай бұрын
The only way to get into an EV today is to lease it for 3 years. Even in those 3 years, all EVs in existence today will be modified as the technology is still being constantly revamped. Right now China is way ahead of us in the EV tech game. We are over there trying to learn from them.

I bought my Prologue six weeks ago and now wish I hadn’t. Too many quality issues, and I’m not alone, judging by other owner comments online. First time I opened and closed the panoramic roof, it wouldn’t close again! 😢 on my way back to the dealer. In general, I agree with the comments in the video, but they’re incomplete. I had to turn off the automatic collision response on Day 2 when it activated suddenly (probably due to sun light hitting the sensors, the service tech said) and threw me into the seatbelt. Another car nearly rear-ended my brand new Prologue, and wouldn’t that have been ironic? So glad someone questioned my comment below, because I can edit with an update: It turned out the service team never calibrated my sunroof, which is something they need to do on delivery to the dealership. It took the techs a couple of tries to get the correct procedure, but about an hour later and my sunroof seems to work great, and as long as it’s cloudy, the panoramic sunroof is quite an awesome feature. When sunny, though, the interior gets very hot very quickly, so both the roof and liner are closed. Back in 2014-2016, I had a Fiat 500e that was so much cooler and quieter, because it had a black head-liner, and it’s the same deal here, but on a much larger (panoramic!) scale.

If this isn't a fake comment, it's very useful. Thanks.

@@wickedpawn5437 np. See update above. I don’t mean to be all negative! I do love the interior (ours is the grey/cream) and the way it drives (1-pedal driving, and very smooth sailing). I would certainly recommend that anyone contemplating a larger vehicle measure their garage. We did that, but talked ourselves into thinking it would fit, when a smaller car (like the Lexus hybrid I drove prior) that we could actually walk around when unloading, etc. would have made so much more sense. So it’s larger-than-I-need size (too large for our garage) was my poor decision and not the fault of our Prologue, but something I’ll be living with for three years. Hope that helps!

The Prologue is much better looking than it’s Blazer sibling. GM should adapt Honda’s styling from the Prologue EV with an increase in the height of the greenhouse to increase interior room and storage. The Prologue could be morphed / cloned into a GMC Terrain EV since Honda is discontinuing this EV partnership with General Motors.
@marcsilvavideo2 ай бұрын
It probably needs to be made by GM for several reasons: 1) made in the US = $7.5K federal tax rebate 2) avoid hefty tariffs and be priced more competitively 3) sooner to market (they are behind the curve on EVs vs most other companies).

Read a couple comments about GM and them not leading the way on EV tech. That’s where you’re wrong. They’re miles ahead and they’re the only company to bring a modern normal feeling vehicle and layout to the EV world. Which is actually difficult when you consider most EVs are trying to literally reinvent the wheel and it becomes less function and more.. gimmick. However, on the end of reliability.. that’s where we have a huge problem. I very recently just left the automotive business after 15 years, most of GMs “ultimum” platform have been literally DOA with zero and I mean zero work arounds or fixes. We basically had extremely heavy bricks that were unmovable and certainly unsellable. Park that with Hondas tendency to cut corners these last few years, what I was otherwise initially excited about is now, sadly, a no-go. Don’t stop at go, go directly to jail. Yikers

Nice looking car, but doesn’t seem to do anything particularly well. It’s not fast, it has a lower range than model Y, it doesn’t charge fast, it’s not inexpensive. Why would anyone buy this over a Tesla model Y? Plus Honda isn’t committed to EV’s, the partnership with GM shows this. It’s a half assed attempt to dip their toes into EV’s. I would guess it’ll be dropped into 2-3 years.

Honda is so far behind the Tesla standard technology on all fronts, it's not even funny. It seems Honda just replaced the gas engine with an electric motor and called it a new name 😂. Cheap plastic everywhere, even in the premium model. Sooooooo many buttons and dials... we are living in the age of touch screen , so 2010..... Whatever happened to getting a FRUNK, it's standard in all EVs these days... I was expecting so much more from Honda.
