Thinning at the roots can come from retwisting too tightly and too frequently! Im glad you stopped doing every 4 weeks. Gotta do what works for you. Your locs are GORGEOUS and I can’t wait until I make it to 3 years. I’m currently at 7 month starter locs. I have fears about root thinning as well. I have small locs but I got them with my hair density in mind. My hair has always been thinner on top because it’s a softer texture and less dense. Thanks for sharing!
