I believe the reason your channel has continued to grow despite you not posting is because you spoke on things in a very matter of fact manner as a historian and journalist should when presenting facts. You absolutely have thoughts that I would love to hear, however you presented things in a digestible manner that allowed me to come to my own conclusions. I appreciated that. Researching subcultures can be super tricky and you did a great job. Also, thank you so much for your compassion towards Christine.

Also, may I add that Marilyn Manson did an AMAZING job playing Christina in Party Monster?! Especially considering that he didn't have a ton of material to learn from. I think Christina (and Nelson) would've been so proud!! I really loved her; such a unique individual!!

@@RetroRoomYT you are very welcome. At first I thought you were gone because of that one person who kept harassing you and telling you that you needed to take certain content down. I was really really upset because I was totally behind you: all your content explored people who had at the time made themselves public figures in some capacity, and the way you presented your content was in no way disparaging. It was not like you were exposing anyone, and never not once have you ever ever been critical of anybody. I doubt I could have done much to help but I do have a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in journalism and I was very ready to defend this Channel and you specifically. I'm very glad that I was wrong. If you want to make content you make content if your life takes you somewhere else than it does, but it would be a cold day before I would allow anyone to bully you into not doing what you love!

Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick, I was super thrilled to see you in my notifications again! YAY! I hear you about your mixed feelings about Alig. I had several convos with him here, and on his and Ernie's channel, and one thing that always made me kinda uncomfortable was that he never seemed to have ANY regrets about his crime. I never got a vibe that he felt bad at all and it creeped me out. He was nice, but it was very much on the surface, like, I didn't get the sense that he was a very "deep" person. Of course, we weren't friends like that, but I'm pretty perceptive about people, and along with our convos I watched everything he and Ernie put out, as well as a bunch of interviews, and of course, Party Monster. Anyway, just wanted to say I fully understand how you feel, and this O.G. is gonna stay subbed, just in case you pop back up again soon. You are missed!! 💚💜

I'm so glad you're back. I would come by the channel every six months or so, and see that the last video was still about Dick Richards passing away; such an emotional moment, especially as for years that period of time was the end of this channel as well as of the Nelson Sullivan uploads. As the years passed, with 2020 and 2021 seeming more like a decade at times, I'd just accepted the channel as part of the past and hoped that you were doing well. This channel, and Nelson's videos, are so important, especially at a time when lgbt history and education is being censored and banned. Not all these moments are pretty - some are pretty awful - but they are history, and deserve to be documented and studied. That has always been your motivation and what drew me to this channel. Thank you again, especially for coming back, which you did not have to do. Hopefully a new decade will just bring us more moments with Nelson and all those around him, whose lives still have so much to say today - more than ever.
