3 years of playing on the Sigma GJA-SG200+ here is my personnel review.

After almost 3 years of playing the Sigma GJA-SG200+ here is my personnel review.
I love Micarta fingerboard, Grover tuning machine as well.
Love the look of the guitar, the sound and the playability.
However, the down side of this guitar was the its excessively high action for me.
In addition, I up graded the string using Elixir 12/53 Nano web coating.
I modified the action lower it down by .015 to
.020 taw of an inch on both bone nuts.
Note: I am not a luthier but I can explain, how I made my own acoustic guitar set up to make it perfect for me and it costs nothing.
Therefore, if you are struggling playing on your guitar don’t miss this video!

Great to see someone happy about their guitar 3 years on. I have recently tried one and agree, it's a fabulous guitar. I personally like it being not too loud, for vocal backing this is an advantage. Salute, my friend! From England.

From Canada by the way the Gibson is not loud as well

@@mariovaillancourt Yes, not as loud as people imagine due to the maple body. The Gibson is adorable, well made, iconic and so pretty. Personally, I have come to prefer cheaper guitars that I don't have to worry so much about, as long as they sound good and meet my high expectations. Leonard Cohen taught me that! He was also Canadian! I have just purchased one of these Sigma guitars (natural) and believe I'm going to fall in love with it.

Hi there lovely review! thank for sharing, I think if you put 12 or 13 gauge string it should sound louder, I played with Santa medium gauge and my j45 sounds louder so maybe that would work!

Sigma GJA - SGA.., dans les magasin de musique , Bien entendu au même prix que certains Magasin de Musique à Toulouse France., dont je connait assez bien par Internet . I bought the all solid wood version 3 years ago. It has a more woody tone than thus model. It's my go to guitar. I think it sounds better than my Gibson j15 and Hummingbird.

Well I have a Sigma dr-42 as well and there is not much difference between both as loudness but the Jumbo guitar has a more beautiful sound. Watch my video about blues morning practice for Senior

Mario, you should try the epiphone inspired by Gibson as i have heard that it is better in every way than the sigma J-200 if that is possible. Great Video my friend!!!

Ok 👌 Eddy I have never had the chance to try the Epiphone but I tried the Gibson and I must admet the Gibson guitar did not sound very loud for a Jumbo size guitar. Thanks for your great comment Eddy..

The Epi J200 comes no-where near the Sigma, I have tried all three, owned two, incl the Gibson. The Sigma is way superior to the Epi, even with laminate back and sides.

@@maxwellfan55 I believe you are right, a friend of mine owned an Epiphone and he didn't like. For sure with the modification I made on mine. My guitar is so much better than any other Sigma 200.
