I put all the lids on our Lock & Lock's a couple of months ago, and tossed the crazy baskets we had been trying to keep the lids in. It does take a bit more room in the cabinet, but it is well worth the time saved from scrambling around hunting for lids. I tossed all the Glad, Ziploc, and other cheaper brand containers to make room, and never looked back! The whole family is happier. Woohoo!

I'm always happy to see someone else who has Temp-tations. I recently replaced all my metal and Pyrex bake ware and bowls with several different sets of the Floral Lace. I Love them! I also got rid of almost all my plastic containers. My kids used them to take home leftovers, and never brought them back. I didn't bother to replace them.

Love it. I got rid of 20 candles yesterday. Today I will go through more. It's tough to melt and clean the jars I will not keep candles again that I don't like. Lesson learned. Great video

The medium round Pyrex dishes are perfect to bake a scrambled egg in the toaster oven just make sure you spray it well. It comes out the perfect size for an English muffin. A quick on the go breakfast.

Sophia, last year my husband organized my Tupperware/Pyrex cupboard and did it your way, putting the lids on all the containers; I guess he was sick of hunting for the lids! PS he usually doesn't organize stuff around the house, he probably went to get a Tupperware container, and there was an avalanche! :-)

I recognized the temptations dishes right away! I have a few pieces in the brown color and I love them! They are the best bakers, so pretty and lightweight. Good job on the decluttering, so motivating.

I too was planning to tackle my kitchen cabinet today, but computer problems brought everything to a halt this afternoon. Got it fixed, so now uploading 2 videos day 8 & 9. Then Wednesday will do Day 10 & 11! whew! right now, I'm enjoying a glass of wine catching up on watching KZbin & RELAXING. Wonderful job! u gave me an idea about using bins.

Oh wow! Great effort. My only criteria for my plastic stuff was going discoloured it was binned and if I was missing a lid I recycled. I know feel the need to go through again 😂😂

What a simple idea, and one I will use, I always kept tops and bottoms separated. I thought it takes up too much room. But it takes time to find what I need and then put together, it's 10 pm, but I can't wait till Friday to do it so I am doing it tonight! Keep up the good work, Jeannie

Yes, I am doing the challenge now. I need to do containers and Pyrex, also. Both are in two, too deep & too dark corner cabinets. I have to use a flashlight to see in there.

Not to rag on donate vs trash, but definitely donate tops and bottoms that don't have their mate. I use top-less containers for drawer organization, and I've also purchased tops only when I've broken or lost a top for a container.

Just cleared out a spare wardrobe and a sitting room cabinet . . 2 black sacks of rubbish and loads of donate. I'm pretty good at surface declutter and removing obsolete items I spot straight away, but it's those 'out of sight out of mind areas' that seem to mushroom. I guess it's cos those places do store what were originally useful items, but over time they just become totally defunct. Was amazed at how many handbags and holdalls were in the wardrobe . . if we travelled the world for the rest of our lives, we still wouldn't need so much luggage! They were all in good condition, so I was happy to give most of them away and let someone else have the benefit. Thanks for the inspiration! Lids on containers . . omg great idea, why didn't I think of that!!

I did the exact same thing this evening! Went to put away the Tupperware out of the dishwasher and thought that enough is enough. Got rid of more than half.....just me and my Hubby now, we don't need all those containers!

Now I just have three Corning-ware pieces with glass lids that I cook and store in. i am not taking lunches or packing for children anymore. They are the French White and I have had them for twenty years at least. Look like new! I am packing my Le Creuset and my since 1976 stainless steel lined copper set. I am giving the rest to Family, i will sort out the coking utensils and knives today and pack only the best.Thank you for the inspiration. Hat does Scott think of all this?

Good job for Day 11. Just a suggestion, I would probably take the medium bowls out of the large bowls because that is going to be a pain to unstack them to use either size. That went really fast today. Thumbs up!

I would have donated all those lids. I have actually found lids in Goodwill for ones that were either damaged in the dishwasher or lost! Just my thought anyway. I was really grateful to have found an 'odd lid' or two there. Found a new crockpot lid that I broke and a corian glass lid I lost and a plaster container lid damaged by hot water in my dishwasher!! Yup! Was happy to find replacements!!!!

When you really think about it leftover containers are just delayed decisions. I find that I put things in a container and never get around to eating them. We need a dog!
