The Diamond T is a thing of beauty - look at that hood ornament! When i see vids like this, its kinda sad.... somebody's dreams died with them. People often think and plan like they have 3 more lives to live....time runs out for everyone. My grandpa used to say we don't own anything, we're just borrowing it....someday it will be someone elses to care for or ignore...and we'll have no say in the matter. Some cool old cars for sure....lots of life stories tied to each one.
@jasonsparshott72084 жыл бұрын
That is soooo true !! Your Grandfather was a very wise man . We need to enjoy the little/ big things while we can and hopefully someone else will enjoy it as much as we did !!
@paxhumana20154 жыл бұрын
@jskavaloski, YAHWEH EL ELOHIM ultimately owns everything, and your grandfather was right...we cannot take it with us when we die, thus it is wise to not value material things too much in our lives, or else we will value things more than the Creator and those lost souls that we were called to save in our lives.

Just remember, those who dream big and collect large are the reason the next generation has the chance to dream even just a little bit. Otherwise, all of these cars would have been crushed a long, long time ago just like all the rest that used to be around. So go ahead, collect them all - and make sure the next round has that chance to dream. Caretakers are few and far between!!

They just have the space. It's a much, much lower population density in the US, despite have 5 times the number of people compared to us in the UK. There's just so many farms and so many buildings. Plus the post war marketing machine just pushed product out relentlessly. People with a bit of land park the old car up and never get round to selling or scrapping them. Some buy a newer model and just keep the old one for spares. Out in the country, people's yards are littered with cars and trucks gently rusting.
@jasonmushersee4 жыл бұрын
at first i thought this was my xgf place but that farm is down the road. over the years local bi laws come along not more than 3 unregistered vehicles per property so either park inside or haul to salvage and salvage yards came under new environmental laws/insurance liability so they hauled them to scrap. back early 90's vintage muscle cars stacked 3 high at salvage yards. i know of many century farms like this 10 times more cars than this. one farmer i worked for there's banged up 69 chargers parked all over a cow pasture and beat up model t fords on top of rock piles. im restoring a 68 mustang now absolutely cannot find seats for it

Saw that 190 and got scared again! I worked on a 57 190 sl years ago. Red with a black soft top. Go to the factory and pick up the 2 manuals. About 500 pages each. You will need em. Love that oil bath air intake. Snaking around 3 sides of the engine. That car adjusts engine speed every time you shift. For a smoother shift. That swing arm rear end automatically levels the car when you load it up. And it should have a full set of bellypans. So it dont get hung up on any rocks when you go off road. Really! And check out the ash tray in the middle of the dash. Pull the whole thing straight up and out. Because it features a trap door that empties, no scrapes the tray clean every time you open the lid. I found some old hard candies that who knows how long they had been there. Then theres that big resistor sitting next to the battery.......great find and good luck!
