It's Engine Break-In time! 1/5th Scale Petrol Shortcourse Truck by 30 Degrees North! In this video I'm preparing the truck ready for its first start up and proceeding on to carry out engine break-in. Before you even start the engine you need to take the plug out and drop a little bit of oil down into the cylinder and gently pull the starter cord a couple of times to fully lubricate the cylinder! I always run it a little bit richer on the first tank to protect the engine from scoring.

That was brilliant mate , what a truck I really fancy one , I have an Fg marder an Fg viper track car I’m building an Fg marder beetle also a yamma buggy all 1/5 scale petrol and I bought a 8s Xmaxx for myself for Christmas and another twenty something cars trucks and crawlers boats ships and submarines could I really get away with getting another huge truck through the door with out my wife going for the frying pan I am tempted , Great video stay safe mate ...

Great upload Jake. Loved my Losi 5T but after a while I got fed up with the noise, it was just too much, sold it to buy my X Maxx and whilst I miss it, I don’t regret it. Will never forget when someone said “wow I bet that cost about £400?” and all I could think at the time was how do I tell them that the exhaust was almost £300 lol.

Jake Billing I haven’t ran the e revo but my fiancée kindly surprised me with the Fox UDR for my birthday last week and after taking it out for the first bash on Saturday I absolutely love it, however it’s no easy truck to work on that’s for sure lol. I think it’s the start of a new love hate relationship haha. Looking forward to the bash video dude, just one thing to note though, it shouldn’t be trying to pull away when first starting so you might need to look into that. Enjoy 🤟🏻✌🏻

I like the sound. No doubt about that. But its missing that boom like you when press throttle electic etc. Nitro always needs rpm. If those 2 where perfect combined. Nitro would have been better.

Awesome 1/5 truck Jake that thing is loud from the video I imagine it’s even louder in person haha. Where were you running it in a garage for break in or the basement? Beautiful weather and that fail safe is quite slick. I like the body on that t4uck too looks great

Haha thank you! Yes the first time I started it up I thought I may develop tinnitus LOL. The break-in process on the very first half a tank was mainly left off the ground. The second half was run up on the grass driving slowly around and letting the engine cool. The last half a tank was slow to full acceleration and coast. NOW IT'S HAMMER TIME!!!

Brand new 29cc, absolutely refuses to start. 1.5 high needle 1.25 low needle Throttle trim up 25-50% for a few different tries Spark is arcing fine when I pull it What gives?

Shouldn't be trying to run away when first start it up so adjust the idle screw will not spin as fast and it's quite compared to some exhausts i have seen i have the olimat pipe unsilenced just to piss my neighbour's off

hi m8 How u getting on with 30 degree north motor ? ive had a real sh't experience with my 30cc yama bollox bullsh;t Baja i bought of nitrotek (arseholz) i got it brand new at end of Jan this year. to date ive not even used 4 tanks of fuel. I bought a fivers worth of fuel and theres still a reasonable bunch in the plastic tank. It appears that the clutch bell housings ( all fkin 3) are designed to break !! oh and the chuffin muffler is supposed to let mucky oily residue out of it. not to mention the 2 suspention springs that have failed in exactly the same place (tossers) Yeh if could let me know of your experience as i want to buy onme of the 30DN buggys.....they look friggin awsome Anyway hope you can get back and happy motoring brother......Peace Out Ian

Because you have to adjust the throttle end point on the transmitter. It was set to accelerate, I reduced it down after start up :)

How do you prevent it driving away when idle? Seems a bit too bulky and noisy for me... Here in Holland everybody will be complaining. I can see how this will be very cool in less populated areas though. Please do a bashing video with this.. It may change my mind ;)

Peter de Man there no clutch. There only break and forward. Unless you’re talking about slipper clutch.

But nevermind...I googled it... there is a Centrifugal Clutch on the motor output shaft that engages to the rest of the drivetrain when the RPM of the motorshaft is doing a higher RPM...... Maybe you are mixing up with electric RC's THEY only have a slipperclutch.. and that's good enough because an electric motor doesn't spin idle...
