I've always loved going to hardware stores because many of the tools there double as throwing knives! But a professional like you who can throw anything from a professional knife thrower to a tool from the hardware store is really eye-opening! This video is very worthy of reference! Thank you very much for sharing! Dear brother! 🙂👍❤

There is a legend about butter knives. They say, cardinal Richelieu ordered to make knives without sharp points, so that french nobles couldn’t pick their teeth with them. He was tired of telling them not to.

When I was a kid growing up on the farm I learned throwing using chisels, punches, screwdrivers and files because my father had them, but knifes I didn’t have until I got older. Excellent video once again!! Great job showing how many things you can use besides a knife

I actually started throwing with screwdrivers, on discard wood. Then upgraded to steel scissors on diy cardboard targets. The nail pack is a great deal !! If one want to start, they just need time, a target (that can be made for cheap), and a pack of nails or some old screwdrivers ! Great Video Adam ! 🫡

Btw, I bought a Steel rod (like 1,50m) and cut it in different length segments, once you made them pointy, you're good to go 'no spin', for really cheap too and they're good for training !

what works better for screwdrivers, straight or Phillips? 😀 lmao, i can see you taking that trowel back to the store for a refund "what's wrong w/ it sir?" "Doesn't stick when you throw it." my fave was the saw blade, reminds me of Arnie in Commando 😀 here's an idea for you: Flymo lawnmower replacement blades :-)

Love watching you throw Adam. Brick chisels also work really well, exactly like bo shiruken. Hardened steel and can be shaped easily. Cheap Circular saw blades make perfect hira shiruken. The steel is always great, and can be cut easily with an angle grinder into a 4 pointed star. But as you say, may not be legal in your country do follow local laws. Soon I'm going to try making throwing crosses from rebar.

You need to try the 9 inch long 'sawzall' blade, i think its made for demolition. Wrap the base of the blade with a little electric tape to make it into a handheld saw and they are perfect for both carving and attacking pumpkins! I once threw a sawzall blade nearly all the way through a pumpkin. Works great for drywall too.

Adam, that masonry staple reminds me of the carbide scribes I get from Rio Grande for $6.75. They sell a double-ended, twisted steel scribe that is even better for throwing, but it is $16. I bet you could find similar scribes for even less money if you shop around. This is a great idea for a video! There are probably many other things that could be thrown like a knife. Another jewelry making tool that could be thrown is a 'burnisher'. They sell for about $3.50 and up on Rio Grande; so they will be cheap from other places too.

If you haven’t done it yet, a good topic I would like to see is different target types. I live in an area with no saw mills nearby so spent a lot of time building an end grain target with 4 x 4s. After three versions, think I finally came up with a good practical design.

Fantastic video, brother! So impressive that you could shoot a video this long in one take, and have all the talking sound good. 😮👍👍 I'd be rambling terribly, for sure. hah And man- that masonry staple thing is amazing. It's exactly like a really thick Meifu Shinkage Ryu shuriken... also similar to a Chishin Ryu shuriken. I need to take a close look in some hardware stores, but so far, online, I have not been able to find these here.

@AdamCeladin Ooo... Thanks for the additional info, brother! I'll keep searching. Those Japanese concrete needles are another thing to think about getting, if you can find them on the Japanese version of the Amazonian place. They're fairly light, like 30 grams, but something about them makes them really easy to throw, once you wrap the end with some tape or string.

At the axe throwing location where I go regularly, we had one guy place a saw blade on a handle - it looked like a post-apocalyptic weapon, and was throwable - not exactly the best one to use, but he only worked with what he had lying around, and it was fun. Someone else a week later came with a self-made "morningstar". It was a hollow iron ball with nails sticking out placed on a handle (so maybe more a spiked mace? I can't recall right now if a morningstar should have a chain). It was impossible to make it stick for us, but it was a blast trying (and at the end, I just walked to the target and slammed the mace on it, and it still wouldn't stick, so I do not blame us too hard). Also on the things you can find in hardware stores, I love throwing just regular carpenter's hammers, the ones with that one longer claw. Their penetration is good, and usually when I tell people who aren't as much into throwing that I throw hammers into targets makes them chuckle. Oh, and in my throwing location I had found a single loose screw that I then threw at the target until it stuck - granted, I was like less than a meter away, but given how incredibly light it was, I'm actually proud it took less than ten attempts...

I will take the butter knives screwdrivers and saw blade I have only thrown one saw blade one time and I didn't stick it. I didn't want to keep throwing them because I need them for work and shit around the house but if I could find some cheap ones. It would be on like Donkey Kong.🤣🤣🤣👽

I'd been throwing for around a year when a HB Forge Rendezvous (leather handle) knife ricocheted straight toward my face. I had to slap it away. The knife cut two fingers to the bone with a dull edge. The Glock knife goes insane sometimes when the handle hits. Throwing knives/tools that have leather, rubber or plastic handles aren't good for beginners. Always be alert when throwing and stay safe guys.

What up 🔪 🤴? I'm sure you've covered in a vid I've missed... But on no spin release... Do you flick your wrist at all on release or follow thru straight down with finger? Is this a personal preference thing or is there a general rule? Flick wrist or no?
@AdamCeladin8 күн бұрын
Thank you did you checked my full tutorials about no spin? Wrist is locked you brush with index finger and follow throw knife is sliding on short distances and pushing on longer distances but all is individually you need to practice
