Hi Joëlle, this is the perfect routine to start my 2 day zen retreat. I’m not flexible enough to reach my hand and foot in a couple of poses. But I’m sure that as I continue to practice, I will reach that goal eventually! Im certain that I’ll be needing your knee pain routine by end of day after hours of meditation! Joelle this is my first time doing a long yin class. It was intense but also beautiful! Your cuing makes the poses doable,. and I find your voice to be so soothing. Thank you I will do more yin for sure! Have a beautiful day!🙏

Trying to do more yin yoga. I know deep stretches are good, but I tend to get bored. I assume frog pose is difficult if you can't widen your hips that much?

Good for you Katrina! Yin is a real mental challenge in the beginning, that was how I felt too! And yes, I'd say frog is one of the toughest Yin poses for many of us. You can always modify by bringing a cushion underneath or bringing the feet in closer together, more like a child's pose 😉

I enjoyed this session but cannot do Shoelace Pose. I would have appreciated an alternative as this link is part of the FlexiFit class calendar. Thank you for the prompt to double the mat for Turtle, very helpful.

Hi Celeste! A great option for shoelace pose is to keep the bottom leg extended to make it a half-shoelace pose - you'll still get the same stretch in the outer hip and glute and you can sit on a cushion if you'd like to give yourself more space.
