I’m 2 weeks post ACL reconstruction….just want to say a HUGE thank you! I’m normally very active so the op has set me back mentally as well as physically - this has really given me so much joy and helped my mindset. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your comment made me smile and feel a little better…. Just had full meniscus repair surgery yesterday and already was feeling discouraged. I’d been in a groove with workouts and weight loss and the downtime with this recovery is kinda terrifying. The plan is to keep moving as much as possible but it’s just not the same with no lower body workouts. :/ Anyway, it’s been a bit since your comment. I hope things went well with your recovery and you’re back to killin it.👊🏼

@claireclayton5108 - I am a little jealous about your reconstruction.. I tore ACL, PFL, MCL and dislocated patella. The PFL and MCL were repaired and I am 5 days post stitches removal. ACL surgeon said he will not touch but told me I can twist in future without damaging the knee again. I’m nervous about further injury. Just about to start rehabilitating myself and looking for options that I can use. Hope you’re nearly fully recovered now

I’m two weeks post full ACL replacement and meniscus repair. During surgery they found fractures in my femur and had to drill holes to help rebuild and repair. I am now non weight bearing on my left leg for 6 weeks and the weight has been packing on due to inactivity. Some of the exercises I’m unable to do based on putting pressure on the left leg, but the leg lifts are something I really excel at. Thank you for this!!!

You have no idea how happy I am to find workouts for those of us who aren’t is mobile. I tore my ACL in a scooter accident, as well as tore my meniscus and currently waiting to for surgery. I haven’t been active in almost 2 months and there’s definitely been some weight gain so I really really needed this! Thank you

Thank you so much! I am week three after an ankle and foot fracture and will be in a moon boot for 6 weeks minimum. I am 68 years old and determined not to lose all of my strength and tone which i have worked at all my adult life. Most of your 30 minute chair workout works perfectly for me. Thank you again!!!

Honestly, I rarely comment on videos but I just wanted to say thank you so much! After having both ankles reconstructed a few years ago and taking so long to relearn how to walk and run, it really annoys me when I have to take 2 or 3 weeks off my running schedule to rest my ankles when they undergo normal wear and tear from everyday use. It used to make me really despondent and frustrated to feel trapped and unable to move while resting - your seated workouts really help me to overcome that stupid sense of failure I feel when resting my ankles!

I stumbled upon your workout today. I exercise daily, but about two weeks ago. I very badly sprained my ankle and have been searching for challenging seated workouts. Yours fit the Bill 1000%. I'm in the absolutely devastated phase of my injury. While I'm not thankful you tore your meniscus, I'm so thankful that when I tore my calf muscle yesterday, I knew where to go for a good workout that would be safe. I wish I were running with my friends right now like I had planned, but I'm grateful for you and the workouts you provide for every phase of life. They help me stay sane. Thank you.

I joined team NML as soon as membership option was offered. Needed to drop when I developed SI joint issues. that was healing and than I fractured my ankle. Geez it has been a rough fall. Now non weight bearing for 6 weeks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this chair workout. It is helping keep me (and my husband) sane. Big hugs even though i dont know you!!!

Hello! I am Linda. I tore my ACL and partially tore my MCL. I am going into week 3 of wearing a brace to promote some healing in my knee. I also partially tore my meniscus and sprained my LCL. Yes, my knee is a mess:) . Because I am 61 they aren't encouraging surgery, although I do have an appointment with a surgeon the end of April. I have used 2 of your workouts now to help keep the rest of my body strong. I did go through wow, to denial, to sad. But I am trusting God through this all, and I believe with hard work I can get back to my very active life. I love to hike and exercise. I also have 6 wonderful active grandkids:) Thank you so much for all you do!!! I had done some of your other workouts before my injury, and love your encouragement and the wide range of workouts you have:)

I am two weeks post ACL reconstruction and absolutely love this workout. Have been doing it since day 5 post op (except Straight leg raises) and love how it keeps me feeling strong and gets a sweat going. Thank you!

I was so happy to find this! I am a roller derby skater and broke my leg in 3 places a month ago. I am 2 weeks post surgery and was starting to have a pity party everyday! I miss my league and my job and most of all my autonomy. This workout had me feeling stronger as soon as I completed it for the first time. After a week of doing this and your seated ab workout, my mobility and mood (and marriage!) have gotten so much better! Thank you for sharing your recovery journey and helping me along the way!!

Just had the MRI saying I had a torn meniscus! I am in that first stage you referred to! I had just started to see results in a weight training program and an "old" injury resurfaced which in reality was the torn meniscus, only now it stopped me in my tracks! "G" to 7 grandchildren - I need my mobility back! Thank you for these workouts!

I’m one month and a week post an anterior cruciate ligament plus meniscus surgery, and I’ve been doing these seated workouts plus physiotherapy for about three weeks and my recovery has been really fast, both my traumatologist, and my physiotherapist are surprised on how quick I’m recovering. I used to be very thin but my motivation for exercising has been really low, and I’ve gained a lot of weight. I’ve had this knee injury for three years until surgery had to be done. I’m so glad I found your seated workouts, they’re quite challenging and that’s what I was looking for. It’s gonna take some time to undo the damage of not exercising properly for three years, but I think I’m on the right path. Today I’m asking my physiotherapist if I’m clear with low impact cardio. I’m extremely motivated and I know that I’ll reach my fitness goal.

I’m 63 & recently found out my extreme pain & swelling in my knees was because I of arthritis. Although I’m happy surgery isn’t an option….this will impact my regular activities. I miss my daily walks & everything that involves walking as I used to. This is perfect!!!!

I just tore my MCL and ACL and so happy to have found your work outs. Depression during these times are true when you are an active person and then become immobile by an injury. Lindsey I can’t thank you enough for getting me through six weeks of prehab after tearing my ACL, both menisci, and fracturing my lateral femoral condyle. I had you on every other day keeping my body, mind and soul healthy. I finally had surgery last Tuesday and was able to get back to it today with this workout (modified of course). I appreciate your style and motivation and will continue to workout with you through this long recovery!

I am post two hurricanes in Florida-trying to get to our flooded first floor condo I went on foot and fell in debris breaking my knee cap. Now on crutches awaiting the decision whether I need surgery - I’m a fitness instructor so I had to take a leave from the Y - so blue but my daughter found your channel! I LOVE this workout!! I am 10 weeks post bilateral knee replacements and have had a minor setback which includes no squats, lunges or things like that....this was approved by my surgeon as OK!!! I am so glad i found you on instagram 4 years ago! THANK YOU for content variety!!

I can't do everything in your video yet, but it feels great to hear your voice and follow along with some simplified modifications. Hi! I'm SO happy I found this video. I 'only' 52 and have mega back and hip issues (degenerative disc disease, bulging disc, scoliosis, iliac sclerosis), so I wanted to do all I could to get extra weight off and help myself in this journey. I had been doing lumbar PT for 3 months, started a weight loss journey where I was kicking BUTT (30 pounds down)... and then severely sprained my ankle. High sprain, low sprain, and deltoid sprain with partial tear. I am immobile in a boot and I LOVE this video! I do have to be careful with bending/twisting because of my back, but I engage my core and don't bend all the way forward, don't pull my legs up too high, and this workout has been helping me stay on track. To say this has all affected me mentally as well is an understatement. I'm happy I found something I can do, I'm loving seated workouts right now, and this is my favorite. Can't wait join you in your standing workouts! Thanks for your help. :)

Based on past experience, I think I probably tore my meniscus two days ago by slipping down the garage steps. I was so mad at myself, because I workout 5-6 days/week, take a long fast walk every day, and do yoga. I am thrilled to have found this workout. I had no idea that I could get such a good workout in while injured. I have a feeling I am going to be here often while this heals and as I wait for my ortho appointment. Thank you SO much!

Best seated workout I have found yet! 13 weeks into a broken foot/sprained ankle and this workout finally got my heart rate up as close to my normal rate as when I workout normally. Thank you for creating these workouts for those of us recovering from injuries!

A HUGGGEEE thank you... Due to an ACL tear in my knee, I had to backup from my regular workouts which eventually led me to mental and physical strain due to weight gain.... This workout is definitely a holy grail to me. Much love... You always inspire me through your workouts. Do recover soon...😊

Thank you SO MUCh for this video! I am usually super active, hiking, cycling, yoga and I am a professional gardener. I am doing my best to keep positive and occupied while healing from my double tibial fracture (bike fall). Very happy to find you! My knee injury was 36 years ago and I still get puffiness on the knee. This time it is taking longer to go down. I needed to do some sort of exercise (if mama is not exercising mama isn't happy) Thank you for having these seated workouts!!

I was supposed to be on day 8 of Build 30 but a visit to my orthopedic surgeon got me two bandaids - one on each knee following cortisone shots. The knee friendly workouts are what got me started on NML back in February, so I'm SO grateful to have them in my queue. Hoping this was a sub for one of these last Build 30 workouts but...who knows? ;)

I had been looking online for seeded workouts and found very little relatable content to my situation. I am a extremely active person normally and I love moving my body.. That being said, you were able to make it possible for me to feel like I could continue some similans of my life while being injured again.. This workout has given me much needed hope. This couldn’t have come at a better time. Thank you. I rolled my ankle on Sunday and was feeling so bummed. It’s feeling better. (No break thankfully) thank goodness for this workout to keep my momentum going without putting unnecessary strain on my sore ankle.

Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this with so many people. Your energy and encouragement in a time that really is sucky is wonderful and contagious! I was so happy to see that these videos existed and that I was able to work up a sweat and feel accomplished even though I cannot bend my knee. I had to get six stitches in my knee because if fell while running :( You're right! you go through all emotions of grief but thanks to you, I will be kicking butt as soon as I am cleared to run!

6 days post meniscus surgery. Same leg, different meniscus (2017) and the Baker’s Cyst is bigger than ever despite the trim and debridement. I am grateful for these videos and currently in the anger phase, trying to move into acceptance. Wore my Holy Bananas sweatshirt to surgery & home last week for support. ❤️ Gonna keep working on the things I can. Thanks for the support.

Thank you for making these, I was glad to find seated workouts that were geared towards people who already had some degree of fitness. Being partial weight bearing on one foot after bunion surgery was making me very depressed from not being able to workout in my normal way so I’m glad I found your videos. I was skeptical that I could get cardio seated but this video proved me wrong! 😅 also appreciate your positive attitude with the injury and recovery, it’s contagious ❤

Hi Thank you for the seated workouts I have a minescus tear a sprained mcl and and an Acl injury. Not planning for a surgery and these seated workouts are a god sent as I have to lose weight and be kinder to my knees. Was pretty upset as my daily chores are affected but strengthening my upper body quads are helping .! Thank you!

I'm so glad you posted this and your other seated workout! Super great for those with knee injuries and also people with "hot" nerves like me... I get flare ups in the nerves of my legs/feet, making them numb or susceptible to nerve pain if I put any pressure on them. I felt so down not being able to get out or get my heart rate up but this made me feel so invigorated! At some point I had 140 BPM and I was like WOW! You really put a lot of power into this seated workout, loved it. :)

I was doing this workout injury free, thank God! But I'm still sore from one of your Live's I did on Saturday so this was a nice low impact workout I could modify to make a little harder. You are awesome for not letting your knee bring you down :)

I broke two bones in my ankle in 2018. I discovered KZbin chair workouts during my recovery. Unfortunately, due to the fact that there is still a bone chip floating around in my ankle it periodically swells up and gets quite irritated. During those times I go back to chair or lower impact workouts. Serendipitously, you all released this workout during a flare up and my ankle is swollen and painful once again. I’ve done both of your recent chair workouts-thank you for the variety!

I am 10 days after a couple of lisfranc fractures in my top mid-foot. Really enjoyed this workout! Trying to be more than a couch potato and you have helped. This. Was. INCREDIBLE! I'm at the "pity party" stage after being a VERY active granny *and* it's my spring break *and* I'm 1.5 weeks out of surgery for many things in the knee. I have a VERY active history, and inside kickboxing workouts are probably what led to the stress fracture + torn meniscus, so while I was waiting for diagnosis I stumbled on to my first NML workouts and was trying SO hard to complete the 2 week 20 minute per day series....and loving every minute! But then, work, MRI, surgery, blah blah blah...which led me to the pity party of the last few days. Today was literally a game changer for me. THANK YOU from the bottom of my aching arms!! NML is THE best find for me ever!!!!!
