I suspect they’ll be in the market for a more dependable backup catcher to take some of the load off Patrick Bailey.

For the money mercenary JUAN SOTO is asking, the MEYS can re-sign PETE ALONSO, CORBIN.BURNES,ANTHONY SANTANDER , either TANNER SCOTT or JEFF HOFFMAN. They should also keep MANAEA and SEVERINO.

The Braves won't sign Adames. He is going to be overpaid coming off his best year. They didn't pay Dansby who was a hometown and their guy. Kim is more likely but also with Acuna, Strider and Jimenez news I think they will sign a mid starter and strong bullpen guy. I think they will also try to strengthen the bench. Adames fits the Braves philosophy of slug first but they also never buy top of the market. I am thinking more like their off season would be a Heaney, David Robertson, and maybe Kim type of players which is more of their off season M.O. Could be wrong but Braves fans always want top players but never get them.

Free agent hitters avoid Seattle so Gleyber Torres is unlikely to sign with the Mariners. This year Torres matched Seattle's team wRC+ of 104 although the Mariners received a wRC+ of only 95 from second base. Roster Resource currently fills the M's second base slot with Dylan Moore, who this year posted a wRC+ of 105 while earning a Gold Glove as a utility player.

The Phillies bullpen was one of the best in the league all year, except for one series in the playoffs. What are you talking about, "upgrade?" They just need to either bring back or replace Hoffman and Esteves there. The outfield is the real pain point, and it's crazy to me that you don't see any of the big outfielders going there.

If they don't pay him it's because they don't think it's worth it. He really only is a 1 dimensional player if we're being honest. Doesn't run the bases well or steals bags, not a great defender and doesn't pitch. That Othani contract is nowhere near what he should get.
