I would reduce it to 2 wins for Ranked, but kept it at 3 wins for Casual and BG. Also not reward players with any gold when repeatedly climbing in the same rank for let's say +6 wins in Bronze 10, +6 wins in Bronze 9 and so forth. That should stop players seal-clubbing newbies at lowest ranks with tier 1 decks farming the 100 daily gold on players who can't fight back. My brother just returned to HS and he encounters complete lists of tier 1 decks in rank 20 where he barely climbs with his budget priest. There is no way those guys are at rank 20 with Mech Paladin, Dragon Hunter or Highlander Galakrond Rogue. They are camping there farming newcomers so they get gold faster. And it disgusts me...

With the new "no duplicate" rule, for those trying to get a full collection in the most optimal way, it will essentially mean that every card that would normally have been a duplicate Epic card, is now worth 300 dust more (you would normally get 100 dust from disenchanting, but now you save 400 from not having to craft 400-100=300), and instead of having to save up dust for missing Epic cards at 400 dust each, you can now funnel pretty much all of your ressources into Legendary cards as a lot more Epic slots (if not all of them) should now be filled before you reach the final amount of dust you need to finish the set. I simply don´t understand how it can be the same, seeing as every Epic card that would previously have been a duplicate should now lower the total packs needed by at least 3 packs worth of average dust value each. For those that open a much smaller amount of packs, this change will now fill out your Common and Rare collection in an extremely accelerated amount of time, with 35 different new rare cards you should get the entire set of common and rare cards within 50-60 packs, if you account for packs with multiple rares. I have saved up 5255 gold and have bought the large bundle with 90 packs.

And now it gets only worse by the tokens being demons, so you wouldn't play it even in Wild, because your DK would summon them, nor in Standard because the Prime would summon them.

​ Okay, you would never play him in any deck, but if you did, you would put him in a zoo deck. Zoo decks don't use DK, because it's 10 mana, so too slow, but instead run a lot off buff cards, there are even cards that buff demons specifically. I don't know about the Prime, but that too doesn't sound that bad, since if you're playing with a zoo, you won't have big demons like Mal'ganis or voidlord, only small ones, so they are simiral to the 2/1-s. So I don't think Xavius is worse than Illidan, in my oppinion he's better (altough still, a very bad card).

I bought the $80 bundle for the first time since i kind of felt forced too. I play a lot of battlegrounds but also enjoy standard, so if i had just bought the $50 bundle like i normally do i'd still have to have spent another $20 on the battlegrounds pass anyway, so really i only save like $10, so it just felt like i was super incentivised to spend that extra $10 and get the $80 bundle. also the fact the battlegrounds pass coming with 4 arena tickets is a massive gripe for me and others, since arena tickets have nothing to do with battlegrounds so them puting 4 tickets in the pass just seems like they're using them as an excuse to have it cost so much money.

What the new system means is that you will not get a third copy of a common before you get two copies of all of the commons in the set- same goes for rares, epics, and legendaries(legendaries will be stopped at one copy as that’s all you can use in a deck). However, this doesn’t mean you will complete the entire set before you get a single duplicate- far from it. You will start to get duplicate commons after you have completed the common set, but long before you have completed the whole set

ex Lightning I’m very ill. So there isn’t much I can spend on. I also can’t play daily so if I don’t preorder I can’t keep up. Hearthstone is one ofthe few games I can play whenthings go bad and I do save up for it every month. But yeah, it’s super expensive and every expansion I wonder whether it is worth it. Maybe I’m wrong about doing it, idk. But the game still gives enjoyment enough that for me at least it’s somewhat justifiable.

Hm ... I dreamed of running the show with Zilliax. Unity, Precision, Perfection... He is the main star among the bots. But unfortunately he is too busy in the Standard. Holomancer and Dora have a lot of free time, since they are almost never used in the game. But this does not prevent them from doing their job very well. Many players underestimate them... Basically if you opened it itll count as part of your opened collection for that set, and wont open until you have 2 copies of all non legendaries and 1 copy of all legendaries

That's why I abandoned Standard as my primary game mode, in Wild you can invest your hard earned dust in a extremely reliable tier 1 deck and feel safe for the rest of time. I entered Wild in late 2018 and could only create Jade Druid (that is still very good even today). Best decision I ever had in this game

*DISCLAIMER* Great video, as always. However, I just want to educate the Hearthstone community like you guys do. Also, note that all of these counts are for total playsets. For unique cards, divide by 3. After having played Legends of Runeterra for the last 2 months since the open beta came out, the price of Hearthstone feels even more egregious than it did before. I have 51/90 of the Champion ("legendary"/highest rarity) cards in it and I haven't spent a dime on it yet. Play Hearthstone for free for 2 months, only open basic packs, and see if you have over half the legendaries lmfao. Also, I was curious after typing that, and in case anyone else is: Epics: 80/108 + 4 wildcards!!! (This one surprised me a lot) Rares: 230/321 + 4 wildcards Commons: 450/450 WITH 4 WILD CARDS LEFT OVER (Weird trend of 4s lol)

Some players like myself, (I believe you've polled on this and the figure was 25%), dust our old set (Year of the Raven)when the new year comes because we never play Wild which gives us a huge source of dust. Have you calculated how much we have to pay if we do this? (Assuming we have 85% of the previous year's collection)

I don't spend money but have been banking gold so I opened 30 packs. My usual number is usually low 20's so it's about 5-10 more packs then usual

I preordered the mega bundle and have a little less than 6000 gold. I sitting on a mountain of dust so the new no duplicate rule helps me a fair amount. I'll probably open about 160 packs. Normally I'd get both preorders and open maybe 250 packs but with the new rule and all my dust I can get close to all the epics hopefully and then just craft the legendaries I want. No dupes really only helps with epics.

"Dormant" is not a new Keyword. It has been around since Kobolds & Katacombs with The Darkness, cropped up again in the Taverns of Time arena event, made an appearance as a mechanic in The Dalaran Heist, and had a prototypical version displayed all the way back in Un'Goro with Sherazin, Corpse Flower

140 packs! until this expansion i was a f2p guy, but this time i am willing to open 90 from preorder and 50 from gold. Going to turn into dust all the expansions leaving standard to craft the missing cards from older ones

I have saved up 10500 gold, haven't been too interested in standard, playing mostly bg, but the new ranking system might make it more worth it to climb again. I think I gives more rewards as you rank up? It's a little hard to tell. Usually I open whatever they give promotional wise, then slowly buy packs till I hit the second legendary pity timer. If less than 5 packs I'll go for a third legendary. Most commonly around 20-30 packs with gold. Will craft the few extra needed cards for a deck or two with dust. Is usually only 1-3 cards. I have 16000 dust saved, 6000 came from the hall of fame rotation ^^

I have around 2000 gold and more when expansion come out, but I never buy packs since I use all of my gold on arena (and because Im decent on it). The first two weeks of expansion is chaotic and Im not in a rush to make a constructed deck yet, and arena allow me to gauge expansion level of power while steadily build my collection a lot cheaper.

So te tavern pass has To be bought to get all the battlegrounds perk? You won't get them from opening packs? So of you order 55 packsp, you would still have to spend and extra 20 dollars to get the perks? Which makes the mega bundle much more appealing.

I will probably gonna have 1200 gold by the time of expansion, calculated from min quest gold reward (50).I will only use gold and I wonder if I should buy ashes of outlands packs with all of it, spend some of it on descent of dragons or spend some of my gold on the arena. I currently have 10.9k dust (from dusts and hall of fame) and I dusted most of the rogue (a bit regretful after seeing Akama, it seems very useful and it's design and music is beautiful).

As I mainly play wild (switched 3 months ago) I plan on opening at least 50 packs or untill i get 2 legendaries. Than i structure some decks arround those cards, meme in lower ranks at the start of the expension. Than I use some of the tech cards in my highlander shaman, if they fit. That is my plan. Also i will spend any gold on wild packs untill a legendary drops, than switch packs. Now I am grinding gold for at leadt 10 packs from AoO to buy on release day. The first 3 weeks of a new release i grind those packs, see how many i can get, than go back to Frozen Throne packs or Gagetsan.

The one thing the new pack system does that I don't like is limit the chances of gold cards you might want to use. If you get 2 epics you regularly use you won't find a gold one until you get every other epic or you craft it. It's not the worst in the world, but it is a minor thing that bugs me.

btw do we know how the "no third duplicate of a card" system works with golden cards? if i have 2 non golden version can i still get a golden version? or are non golden and golden on a different "list" so if i have 2 golden versions but no none golden i can still get a normal version? or can i get 2 golden versions and 2 nongolden versions?

Golden cards are separate from normal cards, Example you can get 2 normal versions of a card and still be able to get a golden version still until you get 2 golden versions.

Golden cards and non-golden cards are counted in the same pool; if you have 2 normal common cards, you won't open a golden version until you have completed the common set; on the other hand, you can still open golden versions of a card while you don't have both copies of it. If you have a golden copy and a normal copy, that counts as 2 copies and you won't get a third copy - be it golden or otherwise - until you've completed the rarity set. It's been this way with legendaries ever since the protection was introduced for them; golden and non-golden versions share the same pool, they all count as playable copies of a card, the protection triggers once you have the maximum number of playable copies - which in case of epics, rares and commons, it's 2
